Because some of us use a blowtorch and vanadium/gold solder mix to assemble their boards.
It must withstand that test too. 😀

$18 = £15 plus £8-10 for the 'post & packaging'... I can't find the email stating what was the actual charge for the naked board and the dispatch, sorry...

Note that all the above relates to ONE bare board.
