I am going to take my Cinemag 1254s out of the box I built and install them inside my MM phono stage and wiring in a switch so I can go from MM to MC cartridges.
I will be using a 4PDT switch and know how to do it, I was an electronics tech in the 70s. My question is about the switch type.
Should I use On/On or On/Off/On?
I had "heard" that on/off/on switches are better for applications like this but I don't know why they would be.
Thanks,
David

Standard DPDT On/On is what the manufacturers use and I see no advantage with a centre off switch.

Thanks, I am going to use a 4PDT so I can use one switch for both channels, see any issues with that?
