Yes I am, if you have or can find a copy of the magazine "The Audio Amateur" the first issue of 1994, page 26, you can read my article on diodes.
I did a lot of work with Walt Jung back then on power supplies and we found that everything could change the sound of power supplies. I know that just about everyone here does not believe this, and I am ok with that.

The tiny little chage in quality of solder will make a difference. And that’s only if applied on small percentage of the total solder joints on a voltage supply board, for example... it can be easily noticed. Component chages will have substantial influence on sound.

Everyone I know can easily tell the difference between a solid core copper and solid core silver power cable. Especially people who play musical instruments - they are really quick and spoton with regard to how close to real thing a cable can sound.

Various types of power cables, interconnect and speaker cables, and their mix, can tune the whole system to sound very good and meet individual listening preferences.

I love this 'tuning' with cables idea. The chasing of a mythical synergy driven by some deep seated belief that the science that can measure1/10,000th the width of a proton changes in space time is somehow superceded by their particular ears. It never ceases to provide me with enjoyment however many times the same tired old anecdotes get raised.

Wow, do they use that science to measure audio systems? Call me impressed 😀 Can you detail the equipment & measurement results?

"I asked questions in lectures and got told forcefully that cables/wires 'are not and cannot be directional'."

Lol... you got told forcefully that cables are not directional because ... guess what.... cables are not directional.

"Directional cables"....... never heard that kind of BS before!
What else do you Voodoo guys believe in?This gets amusing, really...

Of course they are directional. Once they’re burnt in. Try swaping their ends around and see for yourself.

Yes it's the same science that is used to make everything in this world. Just applied very exactly by people who know what they are doing. Rather than magic glomming. No new theories were required to create LIGO.

Yes, now show us what I asked for in your claim - "science that can measure 1/10,000th the width of a proton changes in space time"

Just show us where this was actually done to measure audio systems

Or maybe what you are saying is it COULD be done (but isn't) - it's just a theory?

Humorous and entertaing, please keep them coming...👌👌

You are twisting words for your own pleasure. I don't play that game having seen you in action.

@billshurv Let readers decide if I twisted your words which I accurately quoted & simply asked you to back up your claim.

Thanks for your pithy aside, scottjoplin - you always add so much OT to any conversation I've seen you involved in - just nothing of value, unfortunately
