+1 for J River's dsp......that's what I've been using for my various active setups for almost 3 years now I think. I use an Echo AudioFire 12 channel firewire interface. $600. They say it can do 192khz. I only have one hi-rez album and it switches to 96khz. I haven't looked into why.
So my M-Audio won't work, since it is just a stereo DAC.

Won't help in your case but it actually can do 4 channels @48 kHz.
OI'm using JRiver20 to do active crossovers. Everything you need is built in and it sounds excellent.
Does JRiver20 do time alignment?
