I wish those Tek 465B's were that cheap in Canada!
Of course, all equipment is dirt cheap in the 'States compared to what Canadians pay.
I was with you to the last line John. The rest I agree with 100%.

Some interesting food and wine info:
None of these things inform me at all, I have my own 50yr of experience to rely on, sound familiar? 😉
One point that can be drawn from one of my wine references is that: Double blind tests can obscure normal noting of differences for wine as well as for sound quality. I am surprised that Scott did not get it.
Scott might have 50 years of food and wine tasting experience, but I have 50 years of analog design experience, and that seems more pertinent to the subject at hand. '-)

I have both for your information.
I saw that coming.
John, you dug a pit, then hopped in with both feet.
ridikas, your last post was a sad trip up John's rear. You need a shower now! 😀

Hi ridikas,
Look around yourself. You are surrounded by great engineers. Ignoring them is in itself an insult.

And I wish a great Easter to those who believe and practice the Christian faith. Me I'll stick to matzo.

I treat all diyaudio members with utmost respect and have never trolled in the 7 years that this account has been active. As a moderator, you can check my posting history in its entirety, it speaks for itself.
I've been reading this thread for many years now and the regular insults and negativity is tiring. So I voiced my opinion politely.
If I want to stick up for any other engineer, or diyaudio member in general, I will do so freely and at my choosing.
Now I hope everyone can get back to discussing circuits and new ideas.

Sadly your last 3 days posting is pretty textbook trolling. Your JC3 giving off some odd fumes?
Hi ridikas,
for regular moderators. Reading up on you without a good reason would be an abuse of the job I perform. We have to answer to each other as well as the membership.

That is something we all appreciate, members and moderators alike.I treat all diyaudio members with utmost respect and have never trolled in the 7 years that this account has been active.
That's a time and inclination thing. Moderators are just regular members that have extra work to do. We post as regular members unless you see an official symbol, theAs a moderator, you can check my posting history in its entirety, it speaks for itself.

By all means. This is what we ought to be doing anyway. Now I hope everyone can get back to discussing circuits and new ideas.

JC3 has been tremendously enjoyable. And I own and have owned some very prominent phono preamplifiers over the years.

Thanks, Ed. Great excuse to share a day with my whole family to boot.
Sorry guys, I should have said: '50 years of PROFESSIONAL analog design experience'. Now, my first electronics project was 60 years ago, but I started to count the years when I was actually in the Ampex Audio Department designing audio electronics.
Now I hope everyone can get back to discussing circuits and new ideas.
New ideas would definitely be a change.
you can check my posting history in its entirety, it speaks for itself.
Everybody can do that and yes, it speaks clearly about your level of expertise in electronics design in general, and audio electronics design in particular.
Warning, innovative idea ahead: Safe to use twisted magnet wire to make power cables?
