Good day everyone is a new user (use google translator to write)
I would like to know if there are some 4 "inch fullrange magnets in ALNICO that do not cost so much and have high efficiency

THANK YOU for the answers

Buon giorno a tutti sono un nuovo utente (uso google traduttore per scrivere)
vorrei sapere se esiste qualche fullrange da 4" inch con magnete in ALNICO che non costi tanto e abbia efficienza alta

GRAZIE per le risposte

mor2bz, that is a good example of the FE03A class of drivers, and — at least the label — another one to add to a long list of examples. I’ve not seen an Akai branded one in Foster colours, the ones i have had had black cones & surrounds.

I have had over 20 different examples of drivers in this highly competitive niche in one place at one time. Performance is quite variable depending on how the driver has aged. Being a 4” driver there is a limit to how efficient they can get. 90 dB is likely where they top out.

A good example can be very good. The most common variants (at least in my exerience) are made by Foster (parent of Fostex) like the 10F3.

The most coveted are the holey basket Corals (ones that don’t have stiff surrounds are rare), and the even rarer Atomix.

Expect to pay from $2 (a garage sale score) up to $75-100 for a really good pair.

Those square ring Metal cages on a Tiny Alnico slug are the signature of a Cheap build.
Yesss they work... mostly.
But don't believe for a moment they are the Ideal configuration.
Much like the use of Crappy plastic injection molded Baskets .. Cheap are Us.

What do you want is equivalent a cheap Ferrari.
Madisound for some time had the Fostex F120A 5'' now gone.
Maybe you can find these on Ebay.

There is many types of Alnico magnets,
some have good sound others no.
Alnico 5, Alcomax and Ticonal have good sound.

FullRangeMan Thanks for your guidance
The Fostex F120A are very nice but the suspension is in FOAM

Can you indicate some other full range with ALNICO magnet and high efficiency ?

THANK YOU

Alnico alone dont grant great sound, its need know how to project a entire driver w/this magnet, a Ferrite project and a Alnico project are very different each other.
Current ALnico production are mid sensitivity arount 94dB too bad.

I would suggest forget Alnico and use fr drivers that are know to be great sound quality as Visaton B200 96dB in a 100L Sealed Box or the Nirvana Classic10Ferrite 96dB in a BR box.

Friends
I need a full range that has a lot of voice ahead of the tools
Go ahead tools back type PM2A
Rubber suspension - high efficiency - Small basket type Feastrex

Amici
a me serve un full range che abbia la voce molto avanti rispetto agli strumenti
Voce avanti e strumenti indietro tipo PM2A
Sospensione in gomma - efficienza alta - dimensioni cestello piccole tipo Feastrex
