Thank you, I have never seen this product, probably not distributed in Australia.
Rustoleum brand is available but I think I will stick with polyurethane.
I have a more-or-less acceptable surface texture now, will try garnet abrasive in my sandblaster and hope to improve it.

Metalworking machine? Depending on the coolant it might be worth using 2 part epoxy.
Yes, it's the coolant tray and cabinet stand for a metalwork band-saw.
A 2 pack epoxy primer would probably be a little better but it's a pain to mix, and to have limited pot life.
I have done the full 2 pack epoxy + polyurethane topcoat in the past but for this small job it's just not worth it, plus the expense to buy paint when I only need a fraction of a can.
However, I did learn recently that there are now 2 pack spray cans, where some internal separator is broken before use.
Saves some of the fuss but fairly expensive, the POR-15 is already not cheap.
