Hi diyAudio
I have been looking for a pair of not too expensive speakers and have found the Jamo E870 to be interesting. But it is a old pair of speakers and i can't find a lot of information about them. (i have been searching for a review, but can't find any)
I hope you guys know something about them, or know another decent pair of speakers in the 100-200$ price range 🙂

They are good, impressive looking speakers, i can give you all the specs for them, is there anything in particular you are looking for?
btw Why are you buying such an old pair of speakers, if you are not sure about their history ie purchasing from ebay they could be thrashed. At the very least the crossover would need replacing the caps are good for about 7 years and these speakers are from 2001

I've found them used here in denmark, so it is not over ebay, and they seem to be in a very good condition. But i just don't know how they compare to todays speakers, or if they are any good. I'm only 17 so i don't have a lot of money, that is why i have been looking at older speakers on the used market, but i still whant the best audio quality i can get for that money. 😛
If you've listened to them & there is no distortion at high volume, and no drivers not working (& the price is right), I'd say buy them... in style they don't look that old (But it's been a long time since I was 17...)
Speaker tech has not changed from 1940 when the first moving coil drive unit was invented, sure there are a few difference but the basic principles are the same, i was worried that a speaker of that age may be showing its age. Still, buy them if you wish, but i would still recommend changing out the crossover components. if you can audition them before hand then even better.
If you don't mind old speakers may i suggest the b&w dm220, excellent speakers despite their age, very popular in their time, i used to own a pair, got them from ebay for £50. rrp £600

Does anybody have Jamo E870 crossover schematic? Or E8 Series (E850 and E870) where appear the number part of speakers and schematic of the crossover to use?
Maybe a bit late, but I thought why not give an update.
I ended up getting the Jamo E870's, (good cables and a receiver was in the deal) for 1000kr (about 150 USD). I got them September 2017 and have used them almost every day since, as my desktop speakers 😀
They sound awesome! And will hopefully be my primary speakers many many years to come!
