Yes, but most difficult is to speak in Fullrange forum or Multi-Way
😀🙄
Mr Helmholtz -he is ancient -first recorded the impression and compared them with the expectations.
In animals there is no dementia because there's a strict bond with the vicinity -well, society...- and we humans use to communicate mostly with the tongue so when it fails due to age is normal that it is addressed to dementia

Fortunately I don't find communicating with cats difficult at all. Their body language is not difficult to learn, the sounds they make have a well-defined meaning, they don't lie and they don't look for non-existent hidden meanings in everything you say or do.
They are supposed to be telepathic !😱
Watch what you are thinking !😀
to an autistic adult with an IQ of 140 and a Master's degree in electrical engineering.
Who, me?
Autism as we now know it may be too strong of a word. I know that I have fought ADD for my entire life and still battle it daily. It was so bad that I had to be removed from public school in the 5th grade because "I didn't fit in." I can have several good days, but there will be days where at the end of the day I can look back and realize that I have indeed wasted another complete day.....and the number of days left in my life is getting smaller.
ADD and ADHD weren't well understood in the early 60's. Now we have smaller sub classifications running the spectrum from mild Asperger's and OCD to non functional autism. I believe that Asperger's syndrome is the term that best fits the "people like me" that I knew at work. Out of maybe 1000 engineers, most of them viewed it as "just another job" and had nothing to do with it outside of work. There were maybe a few percent that had hobbies that could be called technical. These ranged from musicians to automotive enthusiasts. I also noted that more electrical engineers built hot rods and raced them than mechanical, industrial or software engineers. Those of us who did more than one of these were indeed a bit OCD.
But I will never, in a hundred lifetimes, understand on a gut level, why so many young women intentionally seek out relationships with known "bad boys",
I will never get that either, and the two girls I know that are badly afflicted don't understand why either. One of them has finally gone off the deep end, she is in prison and both her kids are now in the custody of said bad boy.....that isn't going to end well.

Some cats refuse to communicate with humans, period. Some want the attention.
There was a stray (technically a feral cat) that lived on the property where we built our house. She was born under the abandoned house we had torn down and hunted food in the jungle that I cleared. After the humans cane and tore up her home she didn't have much use for us. Now just over 2 years later I can call her and she will come running then curl up in my lap and sleep.
I can't help but wonder how many potentially great minds have been lost in institutions or just stuck in crappy jobs over the years as a result of a perceived defect where there was only a communication barrier or something.
As you probably know Einstein worked as a patent clerk because he couldn't get a job at a university. It didn't stop him from publishing his special theory of relativity and his ideas about the photoelectric effect, after which universities did want him.
Getting more or less back on topic: what should the user interface for a digital audio player for people with dementia look like?

The little clip-on iPod thingy seems to work pretty well, though in advanced cases the patient might require assistance:What should the user interface for a digital audio player for people with dementia look like?
Alive Inside Official Trailer 1 (2014) - Alzheimer's Documentary HD - YouTube
If you haven't seen it already, that documentary ("Alive Inside") is well worth watching.

That is, because all the other guys are dishonest cowards. I rather fear the wrath of a few honest people than the twitter hatred of many traitors. The "bad boys" seem to be bad, because there is only one planet to share, and a "bad boy" does not get a bigger share of it than a coward. Else, there were no cowards. But I will never, in a hundred lifetimes, understand on a gut level, why so many young women intentionally seek out relationships with known "bad boys", who then, entirely predictably, proceed to exploit, brutalize, hurt, and abandon them.
When I was kid, I had a pet name for my grandmother, "goofy". I only used this word with my mother but it wasn't used in a way to disparage the woman. She was actually very talented and supremely giving. It was a humor related.
Through my 20's and 30's I held my own mother accountable as she was wont to mangle words as she entered her 60's. She had enough humor to laugh it off.
Now.. I'm in my mid 40's. I'm not a dumb person, to be honest I've historically been in that upper 130-something IQ range...
But I feel it creeping in.

I have read that as our understanding of the condition improves, the term "Asperger's syndrome" is being deprecated and we're all just points on the autistic spectrum.
Yes, by the time ordinary people start to understand psychological terms, psychologists and psychiatrists switch to new terminology. Another example is manic depression. It was a very understandable term, so it had to be replaced with something no-one can make heads or tails of: it's now called bipolar disorder.
Sometimes psychologists and society as a whole also change what is and isn't considered a disorder. For example, the British mathematician, codebreaker, inventor, computer architect and marathon runner Alan Turing had all characteristics of Asperger's and he liked men. In his time, his Asperger's was no problem, he was simply 'a man of the professor kind', but his homosexuality was a serious mental illness. I sincerely hope that in another sixty years neither his homosexuality nor his Asperger's will be seen as an illness/disorder/handicap/whatever.

No. Absolutely not. That is, because all the other guys are dishonest cowards.

We may have a language barrier getting in the way. Perhaps you are thinking of something else when you hear the words "bad boy". When we use the term in North America, it usually means a person who has some or all of the following characteristics:
- Complete self-obsession (likely to be a narcissist, megalomaniac, or psychopath).
- Is cruel and a bully. Enjoys hurting women, children, pets.
- Is an addict. The addiction may be alcohol or other drugs.
- Is a con-man. Cons others (usually women or relatives) into feeding and supporting him. He never works.
- Is a criminal. Steals money, property, commits petty theft to feed his drug habits. Often steals from the people he has conned into supporting him.
- Is in trouble with the law. Usually has been in and out of juvenile detention as a teenager, and is now in and out of prison every few months.
- Gets multiple women pregnant. Beats the women and babies until the women leave. Then abandons the children, and makes no attempt to be a father.
- Sees all his problems as somebody else's fault. It's the fault of society, the cops, his ex-girlfriend, his mother, whatever. Anyone but himself.
- Has no sense of remorse or desire to "straighten out". Enjoys living a useless life and taking advantage of other people.
If you're really saying that, than I would say you are quite wrong. What I have described above is not the profile of a normal man, this is a profile of men with severe personality disorders.
And, for reasons I can't understand, some percentage of unfortunate young women are magnetically attracted to these very unhealthy men, and always end up being the next victim in a long chain.

Because they think they can save/help them. Also because these kind of men don't put the woman on a pedestal that she has trouble living upto. The arrogance can also be attractive. Other boring reasons too. This has nothing to do with dementia unless you think the women are demented which they are not
Yes, Scott. Gno, i have never met someone as that. There is good and bad in everyone. My point is, people stopped caring for themselves long ago and now only delegate the work. There are still nurses, workers and farmers, but they all try to get their rocks off by supressing other folks this way or another. Educated gentlemen twittering hatred or inventing cancer-inducing nanoparticles. But noone looking for the big show.

Maybe this is a spurious distortion, but calisten anyway. Can one tell me is there such a thing as star wiring. Ever since the days of Sound Practices I've been hearing about star grounding. Couple of days a go I was working on a layout diagram for a fvp al a Vacuum state electronics. When It came upon me that god had developed the 'differential relation ship' to advantage mans eager to learn mind to the universe on an intellectual level. It is there that I have found happiness. True Happiness. And it is there that i wish to remain. And so I toil. When I listen to music and build audio its the same thing I am focused on, and if things go right I hear and see a little more of that grand grandure. And so in a giddy jolt of realization I saw the way to wire this thing that i've been so busy thinking about really of more than two decades. It was in the early days of sound practices that i discovered it and also found an interest the one that has come to pre-occupy me since. We are in our infancy in understanding all that we hear, -the universe is at our feet and sticking its t & a right in our face, as we listen to the wonder of audio, or our fathoming of the visual and its clarity even over what we see. And how a violin crafted by a master is beautiful in a way that only it could be, the sound it makes in our ears is magical, it is a revealing of something we would have never send had we not had that exact experience. And reading thru our own hands the wonder of form to generate things, and thing produce. It is a kindness towards the universe to chime those bells, and that we will. But until that time i am going to continue to make my stuff in the image of the world as i do. On so on that note I am gonna go make a star wired schematic guidde-ed and not eddied. And then maybe we will be able to see if a single ended kayaker can paddle strait or not. If not then the next step will be toward the full differential RTP3C , from a visual stand point.

Very nice! Sorry, the problem is not a minority, it is the majority. People have been bred for evilness since Nicolo Macchiavelli in Italy and Joseph Fouché in remaining Europe, and today evilness is the grey goo of civilization. The bible accounts for majorities having become bad and consequentially been washed away by a flood, and tho i do not share the bible´s definitions of badness such a flood i flower for globally.
Aithough our western culture -mostly- at first glance seems to stand on the all time clasic dialectic dipole of good and evil, a major problem occurs out of the general belief that one of the two - evil mostly- should be diminished. But there are not majorities and minorities in a dialectic dipole! One pole is mandatory to define the other.
One pole is mandatory to define the other.
Just as is with this planet we live on, there are two poles, north and south and a whole lot of middle ground in between.
Same goes with people, there are a few that are either pure evil or pure good, most are in between. Some struggle with their place in this relationship, some accept it, and some attempt to change it for better or worse.
None of this has anything to do with dementia which is a degradation of mental capacity that one once had. Usually it is a long slow decline as is with Alzheimer's, sometimes it is a cataclysmic event like a stroke, or as with my mother, an aneurism in the brain that takes out a chunk of functioning brain instantly.
