I have a 92 Honda Civic. I cleaned out a switch and put new contact grease in, but then I accidentally broke the pivot that couples the rotary knob to the linear switch. It's a thin 2mm stem with a ball on the end. I tried superglue first, it worked for a few months. I just put JB Weld on. What kind of plastic do you think automotive switches are made of? JB Weld apparently doesn't stick to PP or PE well, but if I made a mistake hopefully it will break clean.
Some big claims for these modern UV curing glues - 5-Second-Fix-UV-Light-Liquid-Welding-Kit-Welding-Compound-Glue-Repair-Tool
Dan.
Dan.
We use that in the lab when securing thermocouples.
It works a lot better than the Loctite 401 and otehr Cyanoacrylate glue we've used in the past.

I like this picture

The other leg goes the other way
And the guy in the middle is like: "what do you want from me?"
