I am planning my next project (a stereo chip amp), and checking through my various boxes found a pair of old toroidal transformers, marked with the Maplin stock code "YK21". These may be just what I need, but I have no information about secondary voltage or VA rating, and Maplin haven't stocked this particular item for years. Google is also not forthcoming.
Can anyone with an old (10-20 years ago?) Maplin catalogue confirm the specs for these transformers?
Many thanks!
Alex

Excellent - many thanks. That's too high a secondary voltage for an LM3886, so I'll have to keep digging in my parts bins.
On the other hand, it wouldn't rule out a regulated supply...

160VA is good for 80W to 160W of maximum ClassAB power.YK21X 160VA 7% 0-35V(R/Y) 2.28A 0-35V(B/GY) 2.28A 110X50
Dual 35Vac allows for a 100W into 8ohms from a +-50Vdc supply.
A 2pair output stage using devices >= 120W and >=120Vceo will be reliable, if you keep them cool.
