Hello!

Here is my small PA system.
All speakers and the rack is made by me.

My expectations were:
- small: could be packed into my car's trunk
- easy: I am packing alone
- cheap: who wants to spend a lot 🙂

Beyma SM series and Monacor drivers were fullfill my criterias.
I chosed SPA-110PA
- 150 W RMS
- 97dB
- the f3 is 56Hz in this box
- 15,3 kg
- 15mm plywood

The driver is az OEM version of this for half the price:

Cheap drivers hard to cross, 3kHz is now the crossover point.
I use Jantzen CrossCap and Jantzen AirCore coils.

3kHz is a fairly high Xover point for a 10" cone, you'll get noticeable gaps in your off-axis response.

Cheap 1" drivers cannot cross lower with 12dB/o filter. I try 18dB/o with notch filter, however it has good sound now.

I chosed 10" because 40l volume is enough instead of 60l for a 12".
This woofer usable up to 4kHz. I will measure the off-axis response, thank you!

Just because the spec sheet says that it's usable up to 4kHz doesn't mean that its dispersion is uniform to that frequency. If you're planning to match dispersion to a 90-degree HF horn, the Xover point will be between 1600 & 1700Hz.
