I was going through storage yesterday and found the little drawer with
the NDP5566, which is the 8 pin dip package of 2N5566.

A quick search shows that numerous people have needed these for
Threshold repairs and such, and these people can contact me and
arrange for (very limited) quantities.

OK - I thought about it in bedtime.

If NPD means No Pico Dumbs it is fair enough if you insist on NDP5566.
And even better if Nelson can supply folks with these, cause everybody
has NPD.. in his spare drawer, but NDP.. is good for the true unobtainium
box that we keep under our pillow.

Now somebody will raise his finger and point at the stray capacitance
difference (expressed in some picos) of these varieties.

So my next question is - is there a noticeable capacitance difference
between 2 2N5566 and 1 NPD5566 - or in other words:

Is the stray capacitance of dual single transistors preferred over that of
a single dual transistor? Confused ..

Hello Mr. Pass,
I have 4 different amps of your design; one is a Forte Model 3 I am resurrecting. Do you still have any NPD5566 available?
Thank you
