pass your ear over the plate and listen for "chuffing"
Better in many folk's experience to rely on a soapy solution and look for [tiny] bubbles.

Greg - why are so many sub plate amps designed with such pi$$-poor thermal dissipation properties, and in the case shown for the BASH, not much margin for a safe and sealed install? Mounting the heat sinks inside to allow for a clean look from the outside is, I think - to be polite - not a brilliant idea?
No clue beyond tooling, assembly cost cutting. Wouldn't surprise me if these are inexpensive HT receiver assemblies on a custom mounting plate 'cause they sure look like some I 'popped the hood' off of years ago.
I assume the heatsinks are inside now [didn't use to be on high watters] due to the 'free' world's preoccupation with the gov't. protecting us from ourselves.

Just how bloody warm can those fins get compared to something like, say a Pass Xs300, Aleph3, - name your favorite Class A arc-welder ? 😀
but, sigh
but, sigh
Funny you should ask..........
I've only recently been able to do anything even remotely DIY audio rated in well over a decade now other than be a 'talking head' and long story short, I heated up a 200/300/600 W amp enough to fry eggs on its top because I'd forgotten the fan was disconnected and it was only driving a pair of CSS FR125Ss in some soft pillow 'cabs'.
Fortunately, it's 'built like a tank', so as best I can tell, no real damage AFAIK.

Introducing... "The Elephant in the Room":
And the FMOD crossover mess:
By the way, I was able to use all 10 screw holes on the plate amp, after all. It was a pita, though.
This is by no means a form of accurate measurement, but I definitely feel the bass even at 15hz.
Mission accomplished, I guess. 🙂
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Any chance of offsetting it so you can get all screws except 1 side and adding a filler piece to the other side?which means I cannot use the 3 on either side.

No need to, I was able to drill all 10 holes.
I think I missed the rest of your posts. 😀
Nice looking bass box.
Thank you.
