Thought I'd share a rather special build serial number milestone off to Singapore tomorrow here are internal shots. Thanks to all the input so far.

A good reason to use the forum's file servers. Threads lose their content over time if we don't. Sure, some pics of one build likely don't matter too much, but when the content is critical to the discussion (diagrams, data sheet extracts etc) it's a shame for threads to end up like the attached when it costs nothing to use the forum's facilities.

Indeed, that is a shame. The comparison would have been interesting. I can upload some new pics of it once I get home.
For the record, I have two cats. Neither looks like that one! 😛

You can sure see why Burson doesn't post measured results. I see it didn't make the cut for V3.
Among the many graphics, I forgot to put it.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
As conclusion to all this from my subjective side on Nord One Up rev C:
The choice of op amps is very good, but i'd suggest if there was the lme49990 (brown dog) as well. I understand the lme49990 is hard to obtain, but i think it is relevant. I understand if its not going to get there. Most probably not.
I am not saying this, because i found it, but because it sounds very good and i cannot forget it by using the SI994. The SI994 is also very good, but i think in some cases the lme49990 can sound better, especially blacker background and all around performance. There are some quirks to SI994 and how it sounds. The lme49990 can sound leaner and easier to listen to. I won't go more into specifics, sorry.
You gotta try it yourself. Maybe some has already tried? Its very specific to the sound system tho and obviously subjective. But would not count the monolithic ICs out, yet i cannot say they are better either because of smaller footprint (i read they are worse because of that too).
Now, these are my findings and there won't be any more findings. So basically you got rid of me without dying and maybe some of you are still sane 🙂. Bye. Good Job mr Boggit!

Just had our first review of the Nord One UP published by a non Class D believer who runs Audio Note valve amp. He quite liked it!

Entertaining, albeit not very factual.
Hadn't realized you were based in Cheltenham. I have a certain affinity to both the Malvern Hills and a certain government facility in Cheltenham...

Great work Colin! As. Expected, you are certainly a key player in the class D revolution. We are finally getting class D haters turned on to Ncore 5 years after Ncore based amps first hit the market. Congrats!!!

Uh... You realize you are talking of one single person?
Many more "class D haters" changed their opinions back when the nCores came out - and some never will, because it is about prejudices, not facts...

I'm looking forward a joint venture towards a NC450 or NC540 😛 !

The NC500's are absolutely the real deal IMO. I recently heard a set of the Nord versions with the Sparkos Opamps and they VERY much surprised me. Best Class D I have heard yet, and on par with some very great amps. I liked them allot more than the NC400's I heard.

Actually I just caught up to what the dealer forum owner did to the thread. See what happens on that forum when you congratulate them for having a great forum? The owner of course is lying through his teeth, and it's clearly obvious. Remember what I said about the hyenas? 30 seconds before he banned me he started following me on tapatalk. So when he read my post earlier, he decided to do something about it.

Anyways Colin. I have a thread on the Nords going on my own forum. This is a Hyena free place where the truth can be shared without attacks. Feel free to join in and contribute.
