Be very proud of your lads.
Well somebody screwed up and put the hockey game on a channel I could watch last night. The damn thing went into triple overtime and Nashville won on their home ice (and tied the series up at two wins for each team)!!!

I had to extend the DVR recording setting twice to two hours past scheduled game ending time (it went for five hours) and I wuz worried that it would run out of tape but no problems. I still wonder where they keep all of that DVR tape at - there has to be a really big reel of it in there somewhere.........

So stayed up late last night (1AM) but that did not stop the doggy's from waking me up at 6AM as per usual.... I foresee a big nap coming sometime in the near future.

Saying prayers for everyone that is dealing with this big fire..... It is horrible to go through something like that.
The Music Group confirms Tannoy plant closure plans - BBC News
Seems like a total shut-down rather than relocation within UK. [If I were in the Tannoy lover category I would make enquiries now re spare diaphragms, surrounds etc]

I wasn't going to post as I thought you might have to go to bed and watch in the morning. Thankfully it was only 11pm here so I got to watch it in bed. That's still way past my bedtime but I didn't have to get up at the regular time today so it worked out well.
Thank goodness because Cal had a good time with Cinco de Mayo yesterday.

No good news on the fire front except that it has taken the front row in everyone's mind and the people are really stepping up to the plate to help. Very heartening during such a tragedy.

Yeah - my butt was dragging today but at least I didn't have to drag it into work.... I love being paid to stay home and keep out of the way... 😀😀😀

one plus for human nature
What happens when you leave an old laptop unused for a couple of months? You get to wait an hour or two for it to download and install all of the updates.... grrrrrr.......

I already told you, that for energy (and money) saving reasons, I do not use the Big Old Aleph (cc. 1.1 kW) and quadruple F4 (cc. 660W) for driving the big Eminence 18" speakers?
So nobody wants to asks me, what do you you using instead of Good-Old-New Aleph or F4?
Yeah - my butt was dragging today :

Thanks for asking ZM,
It is now 7 days since it started and is up to 300,000 hectares. The winds are strong meaning it is both on the move and expanding. Ft. McMurray is completely evacuated. The natural gas is shut off, the electric grid is badly damaged, the water is undrinkable. They are suggesting the fire may burn for months as this is naturally a dry area and they are just entering the 'dry' season.
Once again, the only good news is how the people are handling this. Human nature goes a long ways toward healing from this disaster. There are people loading trucks with supplies and driving - get this - as much as 1500 kms. to help. They are taking time off work to help those in need. The government is matching donations dollar for dollar which has really helped as the cost of this is staggering.
