Isophon Orchester 2000 bargain find!
Absolutely amazing speakers! For 50 bucks with enclosures. Sound inredible! 2 way coaxial rare. Sound imho betters the Tannoy dual concentric's that I also have lying around. If you find these at the right price grab em. Unbelievable when you think you've bin there done that life can throw you a curveball.

Cheers ICG
I did initially post them on Gumtree for sale. But out of respect for the seller and due to the fact that nailing a bargain like this only comes rarely I think that would be foolish. Musical satisfaction can never be quantified with a dollar value. I merely posted this to encourage savvy bargain hunting and share the joy they bring me. Thanks for the reply. As the photos indicate I'm experimenting @ the moment waveguide on & waveguide removed & replaced with felt ring. Cabinet volume as these cabs are about twice as big as Isophon reccomend. So have reduced internal volume to just over 80 litres that seems to sound a whole lot better. They image superbly @ the moment with room for much improvement regarding linearity & dimensionaliy of the sound stage. I can understand why they would still have a strong fanbase in Germany.
Cheers

The Tannoy's are in Chevoit cabs & are HPD315A. They have been extensively modified & sound a cut above most HPD offerings. More linear in room response and very precise imaging. Took a LOT of blood sweat and tears to get there. The Orchesters just sound more realistic in their presentation of music as a real rather than recorded event (with the right recording of course)
