this is my new project ..... 2x12w...
el84 in fixed bias and 6aw8 Phase splitter and Voltage Amplifier.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I will be interested to know how you like the 6AW8A. It is a tube I have looked at, but not actually used for audio.
It seems a similar tube to the Russian 6F12P

Very nice craftsmanship. I like the non-traditional color. Do you have a circuit diagram? Is the 6AW8A being used in pentode or triode?
What is the advantage of more expensive tubes in our projects ? ...plaes look at high end amps of famous japanese designer .6aw8 is magic but ...not all brands 😱dont use rca or others .I will be interested to know how you like the 6AW8A. thanks ..... 6aw8a triode in first stage as voltage amplifier ...and puntod in phase splitter.for schematic please send me pm .Very nice craftsmanship. I like the non-traditional color. Do you have a circuit diagram? Is the 6AW8A being used in pentode or triode?
Odd choice.. the video output pentode would be better suited for driving quite large pentodes, or triodes; a 6GH8 would be enough here!

6F12P = 6Ф12П = ECF80
this not 6aw8a

most of tubes are good enough for amp design on paper but receive to the real world of tube amps is different .

Absolutely different tubes.
6F12P is a frame grid tube, one of latest developments for color TV. 15 ma/v while mu=80.
It's pentode half when connected as a triode becomes almost identical to the triode half. Titanium anodes dissipate more heat than usual ones of such size.
Triode section of 6F12P Mu=100!6F12P = 6Ф12П = ECF80
