Would this work fine with a Sony PS-LX49 turntable?
Will I need anything more, or this would work fine, for a decent audio quality?

I think you need a Phono Stage/Preamp for your turntable first before this Preamp and then to a power amp.

Hi.
We recently needed a phono preamp, and after some research we settled on a Moving Magnet phono preamp from Amazon. See the two links we purchased the second one, as far as I can tell, apart from the packaging they are both the same.
I am happy with the performance; they have good reviews and are relatively cheap.
My only complaint is that we had to swap out the wall wart because we noticed what I deduced (from Google searches) was an earth loop, we swapped to another 12v supply and the noise was gone.
