That's the same as here. Tiny little houses away from downtown are over a million. 2 BR apartments downtown are upwards of $2million.

I just have a 2 up 2 down house.
There is a lean-to on the side of the house where I do my woodworking.
Not ideal but I somehow get away with it.
No room for a bench so I work on the floor.
I use a piece of 2" by 2" under any wood I am cutting so the jigsaw doesn't hit the ground.

I dream of an EarthShip made with tyres and sand like a famous american architect made in the desert ! Unluckilly it's very hard to build an house yourself due to the rules and laws !
