I'm propositive you negate that all... billshurv
Can anyone understand what he is trying to say here?
Maybe you guys should stop feeding the troll.
He seems to indicate that he believes that it is his role in life to "educate" and repeatedly insult everybody who does not see audio exactly like he does.
And, he does this all over DIYAudio, not just here.
So in the context of this specific subforum, why not feed him back what he feeds everybody else all of the time?
Can anyone understand what he is trying to say here?
I see a clear statement that he wants to run off everybody who disagrees with him.
I don't think he'll ever be educated about resistor sound, but he might be educated about respecting others.
Jacco you are not in my ignore list ...as you can see !
the signature is only to have some fun with ones here 😉

3) here a link on caps that I trust becouse I test al lot for my self Humble Homemade Hifi
The description of the sound of each cap is hilarious. Is this collection of nonsense really your trusted source of information?

More nonsense
But technology of the 21st century has brought us new measuring techniques and insights and there seems to be more to it. We can now measure things that were not possible a few years ago.
He then immediately quotes an article from 1985, these folks are so sloppy it's a joke.

That's not the issue that I'm raising.
Of course the existence or non-existence of influences due to component parts quality on audio gear sound quality is a valid issue.
The issue being discusssed is whether or not undending repetitions of obvious (to many) trolls such as "If you can't hear difference between resistors then skip Hifi." has a place.
Since this is your tag line, I can see why you want to deflect the discussion away from it.
Maybe you guys should stop feeding the troll.

If he is not a troll, he is a zealot. Zealots are by definition, closed minded. That makes conversation with zealots fruitless.

Maybe not totally hilarious. I've done DBTs of resistors and capacitors, and while I have not been able to confirm extreme claims and even the hobby horses of some forum participants. I can confirm that issues that newbies can stumble over such as
parts tolerance
parts temperature coefficient
parts nonlinear distortion when defective or misapplied
can all be discerned in DBTs.
I also have to admit I find that the claims about audibility by people who put their hearts and shoulders into the questionable issues related to ppm (or less) component spurious effects cannot be confirmed by what I consider to be reasonable listening tests. Nevertheless, I have in the past benefited from their passion for the issue indirectly: I use their work for performance confirmation of gear (existing and new designs) with mainstream performance specifications.
Good engineering often supports overkilling the minimal requirement by an order of magnitude or more.
I never post that word is only in my firm , are for you ?
I guess you should read your own posts as everybody else does, then,
The text is there 100% of the time.
I have new more in topic.... I hope you are happy now
I say ignore all those postings that presume the differences are only in your head.
I agree with you. The differences are not all in the head. There are sound quality differences among audio systems: Virtually every audio system sounds different because they are in different rooms, and even in the same room, there are audible differences as one walks around.
If one actually studies the matter, one finds that it is often quite difficult to reposition one's head after it has been moved, so that the sound quality is the same within the sensitivity of a DBT.
And that is why I started building good switchboxes over 30 years ago.
I hope too that scott and vacu find post 1513 hilarious....
It's just another example of that old truism about birds of a feather flocking together.

Let's see. Quoting someone who has a financial interest in persuading people that there is a magic to component selection. He knows better but needs to keep the faith. It's sad more than funny
