Trust a Canadian to make that spelling mistake. 🙂
That's what you say.
I read Bob's line as that he got up and out with a big pucker.
Sounds good Cal! When did you last get a good thrashing from a 72 year old ex-blond? [A recently retired mid 40s yoRoyal Marine Major had that happen to him last week6-2, 6-4, 6-4]
[Is threatening a mod a sin-binnable offence?? 😕]
IF you can arrange a Tennis Court on the banks of the Grand Cascapedia in July/August we'll be over for sure.................oh yes, forgot to say that she is a brilliant (trained)cook (who has fed the the present Queen on a few occasions)!! 🙂

Sounds terrific. My Father played up until 3 weeks before his passing. He was 87. I was blessed as a child to have a court in my backyard so I might just give the missus a run for her money. Either way it's good to hear that she can whack the pants off a Marine. My game has changed a lot since I went from young and agile to old, fat, lazy and dumb but I still love it. If you Google "Nico Wynd Estates Surrey BC Canada" you will see the river, the golf course and the tennis courts.
I'd also like to spend some time in the kitchen with your wife. Having the honour of cooking for the Queen is something far beyond my means but I have always dreamed of something similar.

It sounds like it should be a Scottish word, not sure of the meaning. Can just imagine saying,
"Am just goan doon the road fur a wee shinny"
Even though the official weather station (well inland) has see a few below freezing nights, our annuals (near the lake shore) are still going strong. But that will change this weekend when real winter weather arrives.
We are about 120 miles southeast of the Cleveland area. We have had several below freezing nights. Last night I saw 28 degrees F. This weekend.....snow predicted for Saturday night with lows on Sunday in the low 20's.
yup, winter's coming
or what generally passes for it on the wet coast - thankfully this week's precipitation wasn't of the frozen variety - except for some of the ski hills

The last couple days here, sunny without a single cloud, and warm too.
@ night I sleep, so it's dark outside, nice moon in the sky, and it gets around zero degree Canadian.
Sure, it's cooler now than last summer, but I prefer; I can breathe easier.

Yesterday at this time I had climbed up in a tree to watch my daughter and two grandkids march in our town's annual Thanksgiving / Christmas parade. It was 66 degrees, the sun was shining and people were wearing T-shirts.
Today I am trying to hang Christmas lights, it is a dreary overcast day, the current temperature is 33 degrees (probably the high for the day), there is a strong wing from the north west, and there are occasional show flurries or COLD slushy rain drops.

Well George, that's all your own fault. You had to hang the lights - which forced the god of cold to do his worse. In Ontario, I wouldn't be surprised to see the lights become part of the building code, installed at time of construction - no need to get on a ladder when it's Brass Monkey's outside.
I should climb trees more often; the view is better from up there, and you can forecast the weather.

Cold -6. Not used to that. We go from hey, this is nice 12-13c. To wham how you been? Theres no gradual transition anymore. Its just not always as dramatic. But close enough.
Bob - I'd hold off on any tree climbing over the next few days, looks like a cold snap on its way, and you don't want to break off any of those branches and take a tumble
if George can climb trees
Sherri will be the first to state that at age 63 I still act like a kid. My motto is:
Never grow up, because when you grow up you start to grow old, and when you start growing old you start to die.....
I will be chasing people half my age around the Tough Mudder course again next year, may do a Spartan Race too.
I, however have realized that 63 year old body parts don't heal like young ones do, so I don't take the chances I used to, try to avoid doing stupid stuff, and avoid unnecessary risks......however there was this metal trash container that was quite sturdy, and tall enough to let me see over the crowd, so I climbed it and stood on top of it. After standing there for a while and getting tired of that (try to stand totally still for 2 hours), I realized that there was a fat tree branch within my reach that I could sit on, so I did. I had to wait for the crowd to disperse before I could get down though.
I needed both hands free to take pictures with my phone. The vantage point is looking down at the parade route from about 8 feet up. My wife, daughter, and 3 out of 4 grandkids are in this picture.
