I use 486 version. Library isn't an issue, for sure. Music library loads fine, but audio device doesn't. I'll wait for another release.

Try to clean and rescan everything, and try to reset all setings to the latest firmware defaults..
15.09 Works, 15.08 aswell, 15.10 doesn't.
My library is 2TB (rescan takes a lot of time), so, I'll wait for 15.11 version or 15.12.
15.10 works.. but you don't want to read carefuly.. Daphile have few different rescan options, you must use 'clear library and rescan everything'..
How much You preferi the the 4490 over the old 4396 jlsound dac?

So the latest JLSound USB board is able to play native DSD256 on Linux without and drivers ?
May i ask what is the settings on the daphile for 256DSD on JLSound? Any DoP ?
You will not be able to use any new sw without 'clear library and rescan everything' option..

Choose native instead of DoP in Daphile Settings/Audio Device/DSD support..

There are pretty significant internal changes in audio decoding/transcoding/resampling area. Please report the problems with the test case details (audio formats, settings, etc...).
The DSD support on media server has also changed a bit and you should run the "Clear library and recan everything" to get it working properly again.

Daphile need about 15' for full rescan of my 1TB HDD..
Maybe there is some other problem if you need all night for rescan..
The BruteFIR is not as good as before, every time when change the equalizer or gain, I can hear the click noise. If I enable more than one output; there is a very high pitch noise coming out from speakers while scanning after an new folder is added.

How about BruteFIR mode? It doesn't resample anything, right? Does it work OK?

I don't use BruteFir mode, few users report some problems.. I tried new Daphile version only because of DSD Native support, that works very good..
