OPA1641 is turning out to be a superb performer at a reasonable price. clean as a whistle, so the rest of the chain would want to be up to the task. I love Jfet input opamps!!
I'm guessing you mean OPA2604?
How do they respond to the rather low power supply voltage of the Denon?
I tried them in other projects, but with less than 20V (+10 -10), I found them rather harsh sounding.
Oops.🙄 Yes, OPA2604. So far, harsh is a good description.
I pulled the OPA2604 and installed OPA2132. Not subtle. I believe everything is better. The music just became listenable, probably because the OPA2604 was not operating at the proper voltage. Because many people have said they like the OPA2604 very much and many dislike, I'll bet looking further into the specs of each chip and matching more closely to the circuit may yield better results. I imagine a circuit that is optimized for OPA2604 might yield the opposite results with OPA2132. But hey, I'm as green as can be when it comes to understanding this stuff, but I'm learning and it's a blast!😱
i have removed them, but now when i power on my cd there is a huge BUMP on the speakers🙁3) the mute circuit is not needed when using good opamps remove TR706 and TR707
😛 That's normal... Switch on the CD-player BEFORE you switch on the amp.
Or have the source selector on another source when you switch on the CD-player...

there a way to solve this problem ?
Yes, you put the mute circuit back in place...there a way to solve this problem ?
104 is indeed 100nF.i read on F 104z 25v
But I prefer the 1µF film caps over the 100nF ceramics.
Measurements (IMD) and ears confirm that this is a good choice.
More than 1µF (> 10µF) starts to influence the regulator.
And you can't do that without proper measurements and it can be chip (regulator) dependant.

ok, i tried : i've put instead ceraminc caps, 1uF solen mkp 630v
does it correct and make an improvement ?
about coupling caps C710 and C711 (100µF/50V), are good two caps epcos 22uF 900V B32776E ?
what will be change in sound ?
optional: C325 and 326 (100µF/50V) : on my board the value is 330uF 50v, why i have different value ?
thank you indeed
heat question : does these mods will increase the temperature of the cd player or power transformer ?
