Back panel parts

I have resigned myself to purchasing another 4U deluxe amp case directly from Hifi 2000. The one thing that was really nice was the back panel kit of parts from the store. I realize I can source these individually. Does anyone out there have a list of were they were purchased from?

Thanks

I'm in the same boat, waited long enough. Do you know if they will drill the standard pattern for DIY store boards? Same question for the rear panel pattern? I assume they do it for DiyStore?? I can find the 4U and 5u chassis, (without heatsinks) and I can find the heatsinks, but not both together...DrPro, what did you order for 4U previously?

I've figured it out for the RCA/XLR and speaker.

The RCA/XLR are Neutrink, such as the Neutrik NF2D9 RCA:

Speaker holes seem to be designed for WBT posts:

For AC in I have not been able to find one that fits. I have ordered one that is just slightly too wide and too short in height, and will likely need to shave off some plastic to get it to fit.

The AC in is a scherter part, I tracked down what I thought it was, I will double check its measurements and compare to the hole in my 5U case

Sorry for the lack of response on this thread. I will get you the information you're looking for as soon as I can.

I'm going to be focused on re-launching the store, fully equipped with hifi2000 products, as soon as possible. I hope to have it fully operational within 1-2 weeks.

Russell, I am needing 2 4U deluxe chassis. I have another F4 and a new F6 build going at the same time. Having to spread the purchases out, (that money thing!) so now that Jason has responded, I am willing to wait till the store has them in stock.

FYI we have just discovered that the Hifi2000 direct order form at Hifi2000 direct order form has been out of order since July 14th when I tightened up the mail server to defend us against some spammer hacking. If you placed an order using that form and wondered why you didn't get a reply, this is why. It's now back up and working. Most sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

I'm in the same boat, waiting....does give time for play money to grow, but if too long goes by, it will be spent on my other hobby! I need a 4U immediately to finish my F-6, 3 5U cases (as available play money arrives), 1 for AlephJ, also only needing a case, and further down road 2 5U cases for BBA-3 Mono blocks.

audioexplorations:

They do. I ordered a 1U chassis last year for an LSK preamp (that has been sitting too long on my workbench), and the package arrived in under 10 days. My preference is to support the diyAudio store, but the delays in getting a 4U Deluxe chassis for my current F6 project have been far longer than anticipated. Jason has indicated that the store will be restocked soon so I'll wait. But in the future I may order directly from HiFi2000 if the store is out of stock on what I want; waiting for a store resupply is no fun.

Scott

I totally understand about the frustration in waiting for restocking. The restocking process was just taking too long and involved huge overheads. I know you want to support diyAudio and really appreciate you waiting so long to order.

Actually I'm with Hifi2000 right now in Bologna, Italy. I've been here a week so far working every day from their manufacturing facility to craft a new way to order Hifi2000 products directly from the diyAudio store. It's coming together nicely, and ties together our new store and payment processor, their products, and a fast new international shipping method (sometimes even faster than our old intra-US shipping method) with a custom, streamlined process of order approval. No more waiting for stuff to get back in stock.

If you'd like to order now, I will take care of your order personally. Please email me at jason.donald@diyaudiostore.com with your request and I'll ensure it gets out to you ASAP. They just made up some new back panels for the Deluxe chassis, so both the 4U and 5U can be sent out.

Way cool! I just emailed you RE: Deluxe 4U chassis and if possible a back panel kit...thank you for your efforts to streamline the process!

It would be nice to be able to obtain 4U and 5U heatsinks....

Folks:

I will probably regret asking this, but why does the Schurter IEC module require two fuses? I'm helping a friend build an F6, and this is the first time I've run across this.

Incidentally, I didn't have any 2.5 amp fuses, which are recommended for 120 VAC implementations of the F6, so I'm using a 2 amp fuse on the 'hot' side of the IEC and a 4 amp on the 'neutral' side, assuming the 2 amp fuse will blow if anything is amiss. I have lots of the 4 amp fuses lying around. No problems with this approach, right?

Scott
