So based on your theory here, my $200 EMU1212M sound card should sound
the same as the Oppo for digital playback as it measures almost the same,
in fact better in some ways.

Because you hinted at that earlier, let me make very clear that I have no connection to Oppo. I even don't know what country they are located. But their product speaks for itself.

Re the potential of Oppos, since I readily admit I actually make a large portion of my income from improving them, then are you saying my very satisfied clients are all dumb and I am a snake oil salesman?

Now please, let's have a little less aggro on a thread that has been coming along very peacefully. The Oppo is amazing for the price and I have recommended to many that if it in their budget, then just buy it as you won't do better and forget everything else. But I can tell you truthfully, the Oppo can be transformed to the degree that "it is hard to believe this is the same player I sent you" as one customer said recently.

Now you may choose not to believe that, and that is your prerogative, but it's kind of dangerous to pontificate on something you haven't even heard and be terribly mistaken - which you are.

PS: Oppos representatives here in Australia and New Zealand have been just great and recognised what is being done - maybe that suprises you? One has even paid me to do two. Hi Tony 🙂

Good catch Staudio ... Its not supposed to be so. Maybe its a typo or intentional mistake to frustrate for those who might want to copy their design🙂...but if its not, the OCD in me is starting to kick in eyeing my 105 as suspect...

I think this is a disgusting slur. Coris has been nothing but polite and revealing in all his posts on this forum. Sure you may have some disagreements, but you go way too far by trying to belittle him as a 'ware peddler'.

I have Coris LPM, and it performs far better than the stock SMPS found in the Oppo. And it was me that has recommended people check it out, Coris himself has certainly not done any spruiking.

You claim he has produced 'ill thought out stuff for the gullible'. Apart from my own personal experience that this is not the case, what is your evidence for making this statement?

You just point to some measurements, declare they are perfect, then claim the Oppo cannot be improved. That's it !! And yet you then castigate Coris for making claims that lack 'an verifiable fact'. Well...

This thread has also been going since 2012, started by Coris in fact. But you would have all the information and posts moved to a vendors forum simply because Coris (only very recently) and Joe Rasmussen sell some Oppo upgrade products.

Don't you think this is an absurd and ridiculous overreaction, that shows you are being very biased in your view of things? It seems like you are more interested in being a censor, and want other view hidden away, rather than any real concern for people reading this forum.
