The email is spoofed. Emails from diyAudio or from other members via the email system don't look like that. Change your email password and scan for malware.
Not quite sure what you mean there. Perhaps take a screen of it next time it happens. In Windows you can copy the page as you see it by pressing CTRL and PrntScr together and then going to paint or wordpad and pasting in the clipboard contents.

There have been a few reports of these and I'm trying to work out how it happened and prevent it in the future. The platform we're on is very old and relies on a number of now-unsupported plugins - the sooner we move to a modern and well supported platform the better. I would love to think so, but I think only diyAudio members have been getting these. It could be the spammer found a way to send mail to any email address using our mail sending scripts, but I doubt it. If these are totally spoofed messages not sent from our server at all but just made to look like it, possibly they got access to the user database. If that was the case, you might like to know that in vBulletin 3 all passwords are by default one way encrypted using unique salt, so your passwords should be reasonably safe.
We're under attack today from spammers and I'm dealing with it at the moment. Definitely abusing the vBulletin code. For the moment all email functions of the forum are disabled until further notice. We'll move to a modern, stable and most importantly more secure forum platform ASAP.
