Hi all,
I'm a newbie currently using nanodigi with 3-way system, but want to upgrade to minisharc for FIR capability. My CD transport outputs .5volts which is compatible with nanodigi. I know that minisharc requires 3.3v, but does the digi-fp offer .5v interface so that I don't need to buffer? Thank you.
Cheers,
Freeman

The nanoDIGI is setup for consumer S/PDIF +/- voltage levels with a transformer input. The DIGI-FP coupled with the miniSHARC or 2x8 boards provides the same input characteristics, so you should be fine.
Only if you wanted to interface directly with the S/PDIF inputs on the miniSHARC would you need to provide a 3.3V TTL-level signal.
Hope that helps.
Dave.

Great. Thanks, Dave.
If I purchase the minisharc/Digi-fp/vol-fp/minidac8 bundle, do I need a single psu to power everything?
Best regards,

Yes, a single 5VDC power supply will power that setup. That's exactly the setup I have. 🙂
Dave.
I think I need the same setup. I have a nice low-noise 5VDC/1.0amp psu. Is that adequate? Thanks, Dave.
