What is the Universe expanding into..

Do you think there was anything before the big bang?

the mind is impermanent and always changing.
just like reality
You have some interesting points..

The question would be, if the mind and reality are the same..does the mind exist? Or is it an illusion or a reflection of something else?

micro bubble foamy subspace.<<discussed in string theory?
Do you have a link?

In that scenario wouldn't now and then be as you said earlier a swirl in a river? (When is Now)
The motion bit..what is motion when taking place in infinity?

The tree falling when nobody is around?
😛

Hey, maybe you'll know.... I bought some powdered water a while back but the instructions are in Chinese....

What do I add to it?

😱

Earth, Air, Fire..😉 goes without saying doesn't it..

If your activating the fifth element then some sweat will do!

Regarding the tree where is the sound...is it in your head..in your mind..or does a tree make a sound when it falls even if someone is there?
Let me hear the sound you hear...then again..are you really there to hear it?

Is the sound of one hand clapping loneliness..what is feeling alone?

Mmm, roasted water with dirt sprinkles...

As long as it's not with your cousin, then it's relative humidity...

Although I wonder, if the tree falls and nobody else is there, do the other trees laugh at it?

One hand fapping?

😱

I have just noticed..

That the search for alien life is taking a dip..one comment said that the subject of UFO searches could be a dead subject in the next 10 years..

Brian cox has been reported saying that life in the universe is probably so rare that we are it period..

That made me think of the movie interstellar...there was no other life on the planets and the aliens were us..

We are now out by Pluto..and even now we have nothing..😕
I am beginning to think the Fermi paradox is correct..

I used to be an avid believer in life on other worlds..however I have to admit something is wrong..even with the thought of the universe being so vast something must be out there..then I noticed that government agencies are closing the books..even SETI have nothing and its been going on for some time..

I don't think there is a conspiracy either..there just isn't anything and it goes against logic that there should be something..

I am beginning to think we are it..or that if there is something its to far away...

We see the press releases "we will find life in the next 20 years"..well I've heard it all before..this debate has been going on for years and years..all you have to do is ask when the first SCIFI was written..I was interested in ET back in the 60's and I'm still waiting..

Its all very strange..😕..If we were going to find life, I hope its just some benign plant or such that just says be careful... there is something out there..

There's likely more extra-terrestrial "biomass" in this particular universe than we have numbers for, but that doesn't mean we'd necessarily recognize all but most minuscule percentage of it - how long did it take for us to accept how little we understand the shapes, sizes and chemistries it can exhibit on this wet speck of dust?

Shrinkage

😱Since the universe can't really expand into space, since space only exists in the universe, maybe everything is having its mass evaporating; sort of a reverse Big Bang. As the process accelerates, the smaller objects and energies occupy less and less space, seeming in fact to accelerate away from each other, and everything.
Since the light has less energy, and further to travel, it red shifts .

If an outside observer could witness this , unaffected by it, he or she might seem to take an eternity to form a thought, relative to the increasingly tiny beings he or she observed, as the distances his thoughts travel along his brain paths continue to grow infinitely long.

So, our small blue speck may be even smaller than we thought.

You're obviously correct! There's a serious melt down going on right now🙂

Hi there: Crisb uses the phrase "this particular universe"... which implies there are universes other than the one we are currently exploring with telescopes receiving various wave lengths. So it is possible that we live in Unerversal System Zero, as in U0..U1..Un or just somewhere along an infinite series of universes. ...regards, Michael

I think yes, like a universe where you didn't reply , or another where your reply was different, or one where the primordial goo many believe we evolved from never became alive.... And all the subsequent branches from all possible actions or inactions ...

I can't help but wonder who wrote the copy the woman reads in the video:

"A supervoid is a term used by scientists to describe a portion of the Universe that has less matter than other parts. Scientists say it's not the only one out there, but it's certainly the most massive ..."

And thus we have the state of science education in the Twenty First Century.

😀 Well its big..er its black..its got no stars..its empty..and well its a void..

Go on tell me one more time I double dare you..is it empty..bang 😀

I guess you're right.
Even if one photon is traversing it, it's not empty.
It's possibly an area where almost everything entropied back down to micro bubble foaminess.
So still not empty.

Sort of like my first detention in grade one- the teacher asked if a glass in her hand was half full or half empty- I said it was a stupid question because the glass is always full, right then with water and air, even though we couldn't see the air.

Just for fun,

Life is a test,
It would be a waste for it to die.
We know everything ends, so someone (or something) put a wormhole (The void) to escape. However you have to be advanced enough to reach it..😀
