I asked them for a price a fews years back.
I would need to sell my car to afford those prices.

You can buy several thousand
if you sell your car (unless it is not road worthy). They were not unreasonable though not dirt cheap.
It is a verified design and you will have to pay at least US100, probably more for the performance

You can still buy pcbs from the UK. I have made many and they work very well without a hitch, giving 4-6 uV noise over 1 to 1 MHz measurement range.
The preregulator gets rid of LF rubbish and helps maintain performance. It also ensures that there is a 3V input to the superregulator section.
Hi fmak
Do you have a contact e-mail address? I tried recently with no luck!

The pre-regulator also raises Zout -- not necessarily a good thing.
However, the board sizes are better although the pass transistor cannot be mounted as is on a metal chasis. The heat sinks shown are inadequate for higher current to 2A.
If someone is interested, I think this is very good offer for heatsinks for this boards:

Sikahr. Can you post the eagle and sch files here. I'd like this board but with pre super reg power supply rectifiers diodes and capacitor section as well. Something where I just need to connect the transformer to have a complete power supply.

+1
How many volts does the regulator need to work?

Here it is, enjoy 🙂.
Maybe I'll try to design board with pos&neg&recifiers&caps too, but don't have time at the moment.
Recommended filter after recifiers for Superreg, anybody?

I have another layout sitting around for a long time.
I incorporated Mark Johnson's idea of transformer snubber (C1 , C2 + R1).

Q2 is going to be mounted on chasis.
Comments are welcomed.

Thats pretty much what I was after. Can you please share the brd and sch files for this arthur?

No Active UK Links but
you can get it from here:
Sjöström Audio - SSR01 Sjöström Super Regulator
Being Denmark, they are asking 4 times the price of the UK boards. They also look 'identical' but for the colour.

Sure. But please wait a moment.
After installing Eagle 7.2, I mixed up some files made with version 6.5.
I am not sure which file is the finalized one.

This is the correct one!

I am really sorry that I posted a wrong layout in post #31.
C8 is wrongly wired.
(administrator, can you help me delete the attached figure in post# 31?)
Here is the finalized one.
The routing is better (I hope so).
One more feature is included: one can use leds as voltage reference (when precise voltage is not a concern).
Of course, you can also use zener as reference.

Notice that the boards are 4-layer boards and have 140 um copper in power traces. Besides that they are smaller and have a lot more trimming features and you can have higher voltages than 35-36 V.you can get it from here:

The UK boards aren't available anymore.
Are you missing one of the smaller capacitors in your 2nd version?Comment and critique are welcomed.

Yes, I replaced the small cap C2 (120u) by 2200 x2 and a 0.1u after the rectifiers.
The schematic shown in the article does not show any rectifiers nor smoothing caps.
In fact, in page 3, third paragraph of Jan's article, there is a description about connecting
rectifiers and capacitors to J1 and J5.
In my layout, I incorporated both rectifiers and smoothing caps into a single board,
so I think that C2 in Jan's article is redundant. And thus, it is replaced by 2200 x 2 + 0.1u smoothing caps.
