By the way in the background I am working on collecting some info (approved by Pete) about the whole grounding and layout part of building a dead quite SlewMaster Amp.
As I am finished I'll publish the material here in a raw txt format and then maybe egra can help us to put it in a nice and fancy style PDF format.

Egra and Cortez,
From another Hungarian descendant thank you both for putting this information together for the rest of us. I do appreciate any help and instructions on how to do this correctly. Nice photos and layout Egra, and Cortex the grounding information will be much appreciated. I keep wondering about that as I am going to be mounting my amplifier into a plastic enclosure and have been wondering what special conditions that is going to create? I can't wait to see what you two put together.
Steven

Its a pleasure to help specially for such a long distance relatives! 🙂
About grounding: I decided to start a new (but hopefully "ultimate") thread around this topic here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/271838-ultimate-hum-terminator-thread.html
And such this knowledge wont be "SlewMaster specific" but universaly useful, I hope...

Carl,
Let's see a 7.1 system would need 8 of those and a room all by themselves. Take a look at the cable in the background go to that black box, this is the definition of insanity.

Strange that the continuous output is the same at all three impedance ratings. The psrr doesn't look that good for that kind of money. I would have thought at that type of output the voltage gain would be higher than 26db?
Like with sportscars, you pay for dymamic headroom. I have played them on a few occasions p, and I can confirm that they do sound fantastic. Like with all things in here or general in audio it's hard to quantify tha "aura of grand" that is surrounding these beasts, Think it's a little bit the same same with sportscars, from the outside a Porche GT-3 looks tiny and insignificant, but take one corner on a race track, and you completely understand why some people will pay serious money money to own one. While not for all and all pockets I see the boulders as wonderfull pieces in their own right.
