My SA-102 needs a little love. The tone control has to be maxed out in order for it to sound halfway decent, and I'm hoping that simply replacing the capacitors in the signal path will fix that. I'd like to look at the schematic, because it's a lot easier to read values off of a schematic than off of the caps 🙂

FYI: I replaced every single electrolytic in the amp, and it sounds much much better now. Bright and clear highs with the tone control at just over halfway, instead of slightly muddy highs with the tone control maxed out.
In stereo, at least.
In mono, there's no bass unless I rotate the balance control to either side. Then the bass comes in... decidedly odd. But since I never use mono, I'm not going to sweat it.

Sounds like your speakers are connected out of phase. Try reversing the ends of just one of the speaker wires.
