Which amplifier for Sennheiser HD 598?

I had never build something like that. So this is something new for me. I installed Cadsoft Eagle but I have some problems with library... :boggled:

Is there any finished schematics with lme49600 that I can use for my headphones?

I also found Sapphire amplifier: RJM Audio - Sapphire headphone amplifier

Is this even better? Or it is better that I go for the Zen amplifier?

Till now I had soldered few KIT's and build with finished schematics. So I don't have enough experience.

Thank you for the link. So this is it.

I have some pdf file with schematics of left and right channel. Is this the right one for me? I will ask here in Slovenia if anyone can made PCB for me. If not I will have to order here. Then I will try to do some decent DAC for better source from my PC.

@Ziga90, you have the correct link to Pellerano's amp.

@Fast Eddie D: the gain of Pellerano's amp is some 10dB according to the source. Are you not mixing up with Szekeres buffer (also known from headwize I believe)?

Yes, I am mixing it up with the Skekeres buffer. I have seen versions employing the current source, just like the circuit linked.

This is a cool circuit. The voltage amplifier is a classic configuration. The current source improves both linearity and power output. The output capacitor (heresy to some) provides simple and reliable protection from DC output for the headphones. The distortion it produces is probably almost entirely first order. DC stability is not critical in this circuit; it is extremely important in direct coupled amplifiers.

I think it is a good circuit for DIY. It will definitely need a quiet power supply; I suspect that power supply rejection is not as good as op-amp based amplifiers. I use LC "pi" filters with inductors in all legs. I get the chokes out of PC power supplies. My headphone amp (which is single ended and runs off a wall wart 😱) is absolutely dead quiet when connected to 110 dB/mW cans.
