Just saw this on their website. Nice flat response. Just need to see some off axis measurements.

The 1mm x-max is tiny.
A better option would be Fane Sovereign 12-250TC which has 5.25mm x-max and goes up to 17KHz.
I have a pair in a cabinet and they sound very good.
For a bass amp, don't you want a low Xmax? I mean the most famous vintage MI drivers I'm aware were basically compression horn drivers with as little as a 1/4 mm..........
GM
the Fane has very low vc inductance and around 15ohms impedance @20KHz -
ah - here's some comparisons of 12 inch fullrange - looks like Fane would be fun in a Karlson k12

Yea, the fane looks.......... odd...........
where did you order it from, and how much ?
doesn't a low qts driver work better for your clams ?
the celestion is available at partsexpress for $80.
Celestion K12H-200TC 12" 200 Watt Full Range Professional Woofer Driver 8 Ohm
and celestion's sheet on the 200tc

I'd like to see a stronger qts, but that'd make even less bass with the 60hz Fs.
Here is Legis' opinion on the cele

I never heard of or saw a double whizzer before - this will be interesting to follow.
It will indeed!
Freddi, about those whizzer cones.....
Could you take some rough dimensional measurements of them for me so I can compare them to my 12lta, as I have a second pair nib, I could chop the whizzers down and Make a smaller/lighter inner one and then compare the two.....

Legis has played with the 200tc.
Said it was better with whizzer dust cap cut off.
Took a while to stretch in the suspension
Legis also used 'current' to drive his speakers rather than volts..... or was it some kinda transformer betwixt the amp out-put and the speaker
He also posted about the things he did to a pair of 12LTA's as well, which I copied in part.
If I could remember the thread title with the info, I'd post a link.
