I've tried some tube preamps with ICEpower amps... none of them worked well.
I cant agree at all with DVBjunky's impression of the 250ASX2's sound quality, but I think we might have very different preferences in how things should sound. I find that the 250ASX2 dont have good bass control, quite the opposite of DVBjunky.... The king of bass is the 1000ASP I think, although the ASX2 series is in my ears far better in the rest of the frequency range.

Always starting like this and no result at the end. None could solving this.
9 stack dipoles was great, may reach 15dBi on free air. nevermind🙂dipoles dipoles dipoles dipoles dipoles dipoles dipoles dipoles and dipoles
One rule needs attention in generall for more exact results by sound check:Always starting like this and no result at the end. None could solving this.
removing the preamp
To realize this desire I have create a special cynch (chinch- cinch) wire. At one end - to connect the source device like cd player - normal connectors. And at the other end large connector versions with integrated divider network resistors (e. g. 47k - 4k7). This connector is to fed the power amp from which I want to know, how the sonic character is.
Of course - it should be still noted, that I do not have CD players in use, where a tube output stage with high output resistance is in use. Otherwise there I get an unwanted low pass character and I also cannot say anything about the final result.
theAnonymous1: thanks for this list from post #15.
I have find follow threads concerning other discrete designs:

Agree, quite a beast. The smaller modules are good, too, but not as good in the bass. The Icepower amps are pretty clean. To the ear and to measurements.
Topology from Icepower 200AC Rev.D - still in use by currently products? Or there are advanced technologies in the meantime?
Very special by this module is the fact, that there are no special parts in use (like Tripath) and therefore this topology actually special made for B&O and Sanyo STK series is also excellent for diy projects.

I am still looking arround for amp devices, where Icepower 200AC is in use. Additional I am looking for suppliers of this B&O module in small amounts.
in this case also this thread could be of interest:

What means "give a gift" or a present for your personal use ??tiefbassuebertr, can you "give a gift" for my personal use only ?
I think he means to give him a copy of the schematic as a gift when you obtain one, and he will only use the schematic for personal use.

Yes john65b, you are right! Sorry for my English.
hello friends, I have long wanted to buy or build a icepower asc200
Friends already built the complete scheme ..
sorry the translation

Please schema 200asc the first post, with 4 keys appears resistors 82k, 39k, 18k, 8k2. they are on board soldering points, what is this .....
thank you

Hi,
I am to trying to repair one of these does anybody know the value of the surface mount capacitor in the picture
Many Thanks
James
Hi !
I'm looking for the same information as James.
My yellow capacitor is blown and needs to be replaced.
Anyone knows what value this cap has ?
The board is an Icepower 200ASC Rev. F.
Many thanks !
Any news in the meantime?some time ago I had make trobleshooting and repair by a ICEPOWER module from B&O. Therefore I must create a schematic, that was not available by the manufacturer. But the schematic was difficult to reconstuct, because the PCB use multilayer technology. So any connections are not to see and some other are unknown, where do they go (at whole four or five wires - I think).
Nevertheless this schematic could be of interest for one or the other.
Perhaps one of the members this can complete.
Are there work out possibilities for sound enhancing ?
for the amp about
MJAmp_2
I need 2 pc's class D modules, mentioned in the headline of this thread.
Are there this types in the meantime good available on the electronic marked ?
Order by MONRIO itself is too expensive.
I have seen some on eBay recently for $150 and some in the Swap Meet Section for less than that.
