Really, that's upsetting. If I thought questioning pseudo-scientific claims was censored I would probably ask for my account to be disabled.
I think you know better. 😀

I figure you're not about to buckle under pressure from the Bybee empire. 😀
Has anyone combined an ECT with a Bybee?
That would be empirical!
NO! DO NOT DO THAT YOU FOOL, YOU'LL IMPLODE THE SPACE-TIME CONTINUU.......
Jack Bybee is still developing new stuff. I hope to see him in the near future with some of his finds.
30% faster than what ? With out the reference standard you could claim it A 1000% FASTER THAN USING SAY A potato or a cucumber for that matter. It is a meaningless claim which is what I would say their laywers approved.Any theory on how this cable gives 30% faster charging??

I'm sure the audio world can't wait.
I suspect you are letting your imagination run away with you. No sacred cows around here.A list of companies we cannot mention would be nice...as there have been a couple of times when my posts have not appeared for long and I suspect certain people are off limits for this thread

Exactly. Whenever you hear about "up to 95% less fat" or "95-99% fat free" it means that there is still 5%-1% fat in the product. Which is quite a lot actually.
If its a carton of yogurt for example which is 1 kilo (1000 grams) in weight, that means that there is 50 (5%) to 10 grams (1%) of fat in the product.
I would have thought that they would have compared it to a poor performing cable, one from the $2 store, so that they can then state that the poor performing cable which barely makes a connection at all is 30% slower than theirs.
It would actually be completely fine with me if they claimed that all day long as long as on the back of the packet they said "up to 30% faster then other brands".
I wouldn't call this snake oil, just dishonest. Snake oil needs a concentration of ******** of at least 70% before it can be classified as such.

They must mean 30% faster than the Chinese horse hair cables that need to be wetted before use?

Yep, or just the generic knockoff thats on the same shelf at the same height as they are.
Thats all it would take for that statement to be true.

I'll add this link here so I can expand upon this with some other sources.

It's either the use of slightly thicker wire than usual or they have put a resistor between D+ and D- to fool the smartphone into thinking that it is plugged into a USB-Charging portAny theory on how this cable gives 30% faster charging??

It is possible that some of Marce's posts were deleted either because they broke some rule, or possibly more likely because they were replies that quoted a post that was rule breaking and it got pulled as collateral damage.

nokias are picky about pc usb charging.
pc ports are often protected by ptc, that could be a slowdown reason
Found some nice shiny new caps, a pair should cost a little under 1300 USD 🙄
