Hello,

I have posted the Gerber datafiles from Georg in the Sony VFET thread:

If there is interest, I can do a production-run with the manufacturer selected by Georg. I know them and they are making high quality PCBs.

However, I won't have the time to run a GB. If someone volunteers to run the GB and we find other volunteers for regional distribution - I could ship out one package per region (North America, Europe, APAC).

I am afraid it is more the problem to have the work to order lonely anywhere or to organize a group buy for a whole continent.

But why not 5-6 people of a similar region organize themselves over PM and order wherever boards are done …. not much work and more handy.

maybe it is already done and we do not know…..😀

US group Buy

Ok I'll bite!

I am willing to organize a group buy for the boards for the North American Group. If you are interested in getting Permeander's boards please send me a PM with your email and Physical address as well as # of boards desired. Once I have a total we will close the North American Group Buy on 1/1/15.

I will order the requisite number and provide each person committed to buy with a price including postage. Price will be cost of boards plus actual shipping and handling. I will do this a a service to the cause.

I have never organized a group buy before or ordered boards so bear with me!

I think dsdjoy did a great job recovering the Gerbers and I would have organized the GB for Europe but I recently purchased a pair of boards from Daniel. Since I don't need PCBs anymore I can't really convince myself to do it... but there must be people from Europe on Georgs list...

Great ! When Group buys are closed i can take Care of Production. Same specs as given by Georg for pcb's.

Prices for production, depend on PCB quantity ordered through GB:

15 PCB sets (2 PCB per set): 37,2 EUR per set
25 sets: 30,30 EUR per set
50 sets: 26,20 EUR per set
75 sets: 23,70 EUR per set

The plan then is for DSDJOY to orchestrate the actual order for production. davelang will organize the American buying group and Abraxxas336 with organize the EU buying group. One order will be sent to DSDJOY from davelang and one from Abraxxas336. No buyers should be ordering directly from DSDJOY.

Once the production is done. DSDJOY will forward boards to each buying group. Davelang will distribute boards and payment arrangements for North
America Group and Abraxxas336 will do the same for EU.

DSJOY will want payment prior to production and each group leader will arrange that.

I don't want to beat a dead horse but this is the plan? Correct?

NEW Group Buy is starting

NOTE: Even if you put your name down in this thread earlier: You will need to register again, if you'd like to order.

Closing date as stated by Dave is: 01.01.2015

For ordering in
  • Europe: Send PM to Abraxas336
  • America: Send PM to davelang
  • Asia Pacific: Send PM to me, dsdjoy

Production will be initiated in January, and takes 4 weeks.
Upon reception I will ship out packages to Abraxas336 and Dave, who will take care of regional distribution. Estimated arrival at your home approx. towards end of Feb. 2015.

GB organizers will announce prices closer to the end of the GB, when we have final numbers and shipping fees.

I will be on vacation travelling to South America starting tomorrow. I'll be back January 13th. I suppose I will have the chance to get online once in a while but there is no guarantee. We could extend the end of the GB a bit to give me a chance to catch up after my vacation?
