Are you interested in a slot loaded push pull bandpass design? Sort of along the lines of this?

I could come up with a design if you are interested.

either a DA 500w amp or a Bash 500w amp. I have had pretty good luck with the Bash500, just the 12v trigger doesnt respond sometimes. how would I wire a single channel amp to 2 subwoofers in a push/pull setup?
The Bash 500 has it's power listed into a 4 ohm load, so you'd be looking at 2x 2ohm drivers in series or 2x 8ohm drivers in parallel. Push pull only requires that you flip the polarity on one of them.
If I were to use a mono amp, if I connected the amp to one driver using + to + and - to - then from that driver to the other going from + to - and - to + so the driver would be out of phase with the other driver. would that work or would it damage anything?

No, as long as the amplifier you're using is stable for use with half the impedance of one driver.
