Mainly used as a cd transport, audio on cd and dvd is fine as far as I can tell but it has started displaying wavy lines/ripples across the whole of the screen, most obvious on vertical lines.
I am connected to my amp with rgb and digital coax. I have checked for loose connections on all feeds and the power supply but cannot see anything. The problem isn't continuous but is getting more and more frequent.
Can anyone suggest what the fault may be and offer a remedy, please?
Just to add, will be swapping out the dreaded Hop1200s later today.
Thank you in anticipation.

One possible cause can be either RF pick up of someone's wireless network or even worse someone near using power line communications (ie their network via mains using adaptors).

I cannot check at the moment, but I think you may have hit the nail on the head.
I had everything apart earlier and swapped out some cables etc and came to the conclusion the interference is via my amp, with dvd connected direct to tv via any means I get a clear picture (however amp menu screens have no distortion so its the signal through). but my mobile phone is also my wifi hotspot and usually sits about 8 inches from my amp, I will let you know if things change later.
thank you so far.
