was that medical grade, or home grown?

Just mixing several half-baked theories that don't mix
and leaping to conclusions that are obviously whack.

So, I read that previously linked Science Daily article
about the distribution of dwarf galaxies. There is no
obvious reason why or how widely separate galaxies
could organize themselves to orbit in the same thin
plane. Not necessarily the same plane as the anchor
galaxy. An observation that begs explanation.

So my whack conclusion is that some past event must
have seeded matter into many thin sheets. What could
expel matter in such a pattern? Maybe something like
several randomly oriented spinning supermassive holes
each ejected a disk shaped explosion at the same time?

Someone mentioned exploding white holes, which to
me are nonsense. But in the spirit of believing seven
impossible things before breakfast, we'll borrow the
white hole bounce idea to explain this.

Then I have to come up with a reason why holes would
have any connection to bounce simultaneously. I threw
"entanglement" at the problem. Rational? Probably not.

Ladel up a steaming bowl of Donut theory to replace
impossible singularities, a constant sized universe
with yardstick theory to replace impossible expansion,
and you get a Pulitzer worthy rant about how I still
can't quite make all the pieces fit. Go figure...

Its not any more wrong than how we look at it now.
We believe some pretty absurd stuff about how our
universe began. Because "science" dares to tell us
what it doesn't yet know. I consider science driven
by consensus of ignorance and peer pressure to be
worthy of the mockery I deliver.

Not saying I actually believe any of this feldercarp.
Unless its before breakfast, then anything goes...

On reflection..

If everything ends why would you want to live forever?
Then again, what is existence.
Does anything actually matter in the end?

I remember talking to a Buddhist monk and he said everything means nothing..nothing is everything.

I thought about this for a while and the idea of oblivion, what is nothing?

In the beginning there was nothing..why? :D (Is there something now or do we think there is?)
Not being a religious person, when did I exist? When did the universe exist in relationship to me?
Or am I just kidding myself..

Maybe it's as simple as giving a baby something he hasn't experienced before, an unknown toy - and then giving him full range to experience that, explore it in every way he can think of, let him enjoy every aspect of its being, no limits to his "creativity" - he can use it to "build" something, smash it to pieces against a wall, or toss it in a corner because he quickly bores of it - the world's his "oyster" ... ;)

.......
Does anything actually matter in the end?......

I remember a saying from long ago " Nothing eventually matters at all " !

For a long time I couldn't really comprehend that. But I think on looking back at my past life ( I'm very much older now ! :) ) it does appear that this is true. Put it into context of a whole lifetime or even several hundreds of years , it does make sense. The meaning isn't as simplistic as the words themselves. You have to look at the whole picture and not just the little bit of time that we are in now.

It doesn't mean that we shouldn't lead a good life and keep healthy etc. But all of that doesn't really matter eventually !Think about it again !;)

Really? How do you (or we) know? What is 'nothing'?

Interesting isn't it..the idea of no beginning or end. (is that oblivion, repetition, evolving and ever changing or stagnation) infinite possibilities (no rules)..Err :D

The only "other" thing I can think of that has no beginning or end is something that doesn't exist..
(if it has no beginning it can't have an end)

I realised a simple circle has no beginning and no end and that led me to eventually write down my own thoughts at HOME - The Answer

I have subsequently discovered it is not new thinking and is called the bounce theory by others.

I looked up the term "ivory tower" recently and started wondering if I spend too much time in an "ivory tower".

Like, discussing the universes shape in the next trillion years instead of thinking about paying bills or how to improve my apartment and stuff like that.

But someone like Michio Kaku is respected and people which only think about day to day concepts are a bit boring.

I'm confused.

I think it depends on what impacts your life..
I have had some very strange things in my life that I thought were common to many people..I seem to be wrong.

It all starts when you ask questions like who am I..
What will become of me..

The question you ask about the ivory tower is not new..its in all sorts of beliefs. The idea is you can dream all you want, however you have to attend to the hearth(Life) or the fire goes out. Ie its a dirty job but it has to be done.
Bruce Lee had it in a nutshell (its like a finger pointing to the stars..don't look at the finger or you will miss all the heavenly glory).:D

You see the universe is pretty much irrelevant in everyday life, however if a meteor was on its way to earth it becomes important!
If the moon suddenly disappeared the tide would change. One day the universe in everyday life will be very important.

Some people can get everything they need from work life..for some its a necessary evil..:D
The question is this all there is? I asked someone once, if you were dying you would want these minutes..the reply if its stuck on 12 hr nights in a factory I'll go now..:D

Its interesting,

Think of all the life experiences people have..look at the way life changes people that have experienced war.

We are very lucky if we can think about the universe for fun..
I don't believe its a nice place to live..we just seem to be lucky (at the moment)

Current thinking is that the total energy of the universe is 0, and the only "thing" with an energy of 0 is nothing. So, one can think of the universe as "nothing pulled apart" into positive (mass, motion) energy, and negative (gravitational potential) energy.
