Thoughts about retirement...

But you still club an available female, and drag her back to the pad by the hair, right ...?

Well, that's how I do it but I've heard that other men are trying a brand new strategy that involves actually listening to her, walks along the beach, flowers and dinner. Do I understand that right?

What's a pad? I live in a cave.

Ah, yes, that's called "foreplay" - but then you still have to do the club, hair, etc, thing ...

Probably won't like a pad then - it's got nasty things called "corners", you can get trapped in them, won't be able to find your way back to the fire ...

Dear Mr. Welldone,

You are nothing but a "Status Seeking Canuck"! You may want people to believe that you live in a spacious and luxurious cave, but I happen to know that all you have is an Igloo that melts during your five weeks of Summer! During that time you live in a tent made from a tarp. I've actually seen your Summer Tarp Shelter on Vancover Island!

My Very Best Regards,

My father being a science teacher had the same 3 months off that his kids did. We spent one whole summer making the trip around the entire USA and stopped everwhere there was something worth seeing. never had a desire to see the USA since. Same for Europe... spent two years there and saw every country etc....though more interesting culturally, its otherwise all done there.

So I now go to places people rarely go to. Amazon jungles, SE Asia jungles, and stay in villages and watch, look, listen to other cultures. And, I travel to Nepal to see my 'kids' there..... I pay for their schooling since they were 5. Now 16... Two girls. Send money to them by Western union every few months. Just was there last month... spent 6 weeks in region. Will be going back in Oct for a couple three months or so to do some more exploring. To me this is fun and I sometimes get some art treasures along the way. I can only do this by being retired.

City driving is bad for your health and others and air we breathe.
Highways, bridges, ,,,driving in & out of cities towards other cities is a hazard to your equilibrium too, a way to stress yourself of all the congestion, and participate to the ultimate breakdown of the planet; financially and surely.

California, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Mexico city, China, Bangkok, Singapore, Toronto, Montreal, New York, Tijuana, Paris, India, ... all the big arteries of road congestion and pollution from automotive robots that are constantly recalled and slaved of gas and oil, are the total decapitation, decadence of the world's empire under the ultimate control of the money system from a totally corrupted devil; man himself!

I want to retire in the country side where it's quiet and peaceful. ...Where I can breathe and relax. ...Where I can live.
I am retired, I am there, I live. ...Now I can die.

Smart man. Yourself, I mean, :). Aboriginal art has gone from strength to strength, and Clifford was a major mover and shaker in that movement. Not too long ago I popped into a trendy art shop in the Rocks - the old part of Sydney - and there were some amazing works by newer painters of indigenous descent, two stories high, of tremendous richness of texture and colour - you could look at a piece for hours and not get tired of it ...

So I suppose out there in the country when you one day face a medical crisis you'll refuse the corrupt devil ambulance ride and walk to the hospital?

once you learn how to drive like a Montrealer, the traffic disapears.

Growing up in the industrialized and shrinking Midwest, the only bad time to drive was Friday nights as most folk cashed their paychecks at the bar. It's amazing to see the number of folks who bicycle because they've lost their licenses due to DUI.

The above doesn't apply to Chicago.

I've mastered the Etoile, just close your eyes.

Well...a quick update

8 days into my adjuvent radiation therapy for the sarcoma removed from my arm, 4th of July weekend, I started feeling puny, and by Monday 7/7/14 I was admitted thru the ER for emergency CT scan. Turns out, I had obstructed my illeum and ruptured it, spilling the contents into my peritoneal cavity and gone septic. Not good. That evening, I had an emergent laparotomy, wherein they removed 30" of smallbowell as well as performed an illeocecal valvectomy and appendectomy, all rolled into one. So, two weeks later, they pulled the ng tube, IV's, etc. and sent me home to face the $150,000 bills from my cancer surgery that BC/BS refuses to pay because we left the state of KY. Seems the KY obamacare exchange insurance only covers IN-State medical care, except pre-authorized emergent care.

So. it's hard to believe that staying in shape could've prevented any of this. Luckily, I've done well on Wall Street, so I'll be able to cover the bills even if we don't prevail with Anthem, Obamacare, etc.

Gonna be a long road to full recovery from these two setbacks as I've lost > 25 #'s in 2 weeks, but I still have (most) of my left arm and (most) of my small intestine intact.
