Thanks Ryan, arrived today.

Look better in real life - really impressive work. The pads in the DEM cct for referencing to -15V via SMD (or not) is really good as well.

Sky is the limit with what can be done here.. all options seem open. Awesome.

Hummmm.... bad humour is not appreciated anymore ! Hé your altess, try your question on the TDA1541 kit thread maybe....

for PS decoupling caps; test : United Chemicon APSA (polymer) and Nichicon PLE serie polymer cap : 470 uf/6.3 V for the 5 V rails. United Chemicon APSA or Panasonic 16V SEP polymers for the 15V rail....
PPS SMD for decoupling : values depend on what you want : too many options ! ..... Argh Ryan go out from my mind...... arghhhhhhh !). first try without smd decoupling (both for PS and 14 smds....)
For Dem Clock : 1OO pico with 330 nF for the 14 ! or 470 genuine ref with 100 nano for the 14 !

But...... Ryan, what part values would you recommend to get this up running....arghhh this is a KangGuru thread ! ?

Bad Hobbit, hope you cuted the coat on your feets for the beach !

Of course for the dem clock : smd Mica (John input) or PPS caps or CoG 603 smd for inductance.

Most of the choices of the 14 depend also with the DEM clock cap choosed and the mod you want (oversampling). Pure NOS can be harsch like some others makes upsampling on the fly.... so not a simple question in fact !

Of course with all the respect due to australians which are IMHO the last free western people....England not an Island anymore since the Under the Manche Sea tunnel !

Kang Guru is better than Gang Kuru ! Arghhhhhhhhhh my pills !

We can't forgett this is a "good enough" design ! More than the caps, there are trade offs as the layout are subdivised and we 've got to have in mind it can not replace a standalone SOTA pcb !

But look ! This is DIY, it's a fantasdtic little pcb to allow input/output stages with serious UF.L impedance matching connection and a serious Masterclock to come maid by our friend from Italy aka Andrea_Mori.... which is working also on the PS question of the DAC itself !

I surmise we will all have many exchanges in some others thrread around the well born "Distinctive-TDA1541" pcb coreboard !

Choose your input (I started a thread for beginners like me)
Choose your output (Pedja's ; Cen/Sen, tubes, what you like...)

A hobby dream came true around this chip and this cheap pcb. It's not Sota, it's good enough... but surmise most of us will have Fun to test and enjoy ! And the main : you can set up TDA1541 around your own need and hifi system ! Is not life good ?

I hacked NSA and see from satelite photographs Ryan can't answer you because sleeping on the Post Office for shipping !

Ryan, we will clone a Leia just for you !
