Andrew, if your browser cache is corrupt then sometimes you can't access certain pages. It happens to me occasionally, usually not letting me go past a certain point in a thread. Clear your browser history if this is the kind of issue that you have.
Your link does indeed take me to post #142 (that's the second picture in my post above). For me, that is page 8 because I have 20 posts displayed per page.

Firefox and Chrome will be similar but you will have to look up the exact method for those.
As I stated, the links reach the pages I mentioned. AndrewT's link at post#4 takes me to page 3. I checked in other browser (Chrome) also.

You only know the cache is corrupt when strange things happen and a browser clean fixes it. I know that's not very scientific but there is no other way to check. The cache holds stores of pages you have visited, the idea being that if the page contents are the same as before, then the page loads from the cache more quickly than downloading the whole page again... although that's a dubious claim now with higher web speeds.
If you are using multiple browsers such as IE, Firefox etc then you have individual caches for each and each must be cleaned.
Its also worth running a normal disc clean to delete temporary files,

To not help folk prying into my activities I have set my browser to clear history, cookies and all else, every time I close the Browser.
Does that mean I should never get a overly full cache and thus never get a corrupted cache?

Somethings' Clearly messed.
My setup clears ALL history at browser shut down.
Plus I wipe all prior to machine shutdown. Yup.. seriously anal.
Despite all this, or perhaps because of it...on MY machine..Post #1 link goes where it's intended.
