Wow.....just about all over my head but I'm impressed by your commitment to getting it right and avoiding any bloat.
I'm hoping to see Cubitruck in your certified devices list sometime down the track. Keep up the good work!
Hi ACX,
very nice project!
I am using MPD on a ATOM-PC with Ubuntu but I am looking for a nice distro for RPi. I would like to stay with MPD and the MPad-App.
Sadly, any distro has some trade-Offs. Yours suffer from the missing WLAN support for my little EDIMAX 7811.
Please keep me informed if you will manage it.
Good luck and thanks for joining!

Hi Tolu, have you tried to get the latest driver for your adapter? You should manage it with this command:Hi ACX,

Hi ACX
Wanted to test Rune but got an error that my 2GB SanDisk SD-Card is too small. Size: 3907584 sectors, Available: 3862528 sectors
Why do rune needs 2 GB?
to WLAN: I don't like to tinker with Linux. I just want plug & Play. So I can wait.

If you want Runeos to run on other Hardware please send ACX the inventor
the original hardware or the amount of money he needs to buy this hardware plus shipping plus other necessary hardware item costs.
So he can test it on the hardware port it and build in some tweaks.

Not good news, I'm sorry. We still don't have samples in our hands, so we are developing on other platforms in the meanwhile.Hi acx
or is the development of Cubietruck, good news or not 🙂
Thank
Keep an eye on the news, UDOO build is coming right after the Rpi one (which is almost complete).I would like to test the build on Udoo if possible.
Thanks

Hi.. long time member but my first post. It's really great that you are doing this optimisations for audio on embedded hardware , I bought the BBB based on an article for an MPD client in computer audiophile and even there , they are pointing out to your work
I am using the beaglebone black in my system..
Here's something I worked on just to make a proof of concept .. Its a wireless (not really portable ) player.
The black box with the open circuit board is the beaglebone black , the blue colored box is a wireless client dongle ( converted nano router) to the right are 2 power banks , one for the wireless client and the other for the beaglebone ... It would be more compact really if I used one of the dual output power banks..
To the left of the beaglebone is a Sabre Es9023 usb dac(hifidiyme) driving an AKG550 can. Of course I can just use a smartphone or tablet with the needed app to make it simple but this just sounds better
I am using a pogoplug (e02) with an external hard drive as my Nas, and squeezebox server/player , so that I could have several players running with just a single source ..
What would be great is if Rune is ported to the seagate dockstar/Pogoplug e02 which is already running under arch linux .. The pogoplug E02 w/ built in psu and 4 usb ports , has enough power and ports to attached a usb dac and an external hard and even a wireless dongle.
If I could contribute to making it possible , pls let me know.

For udoo,;other than Volumio, there is archphile that seems stable but at moment no great internal option as dsd or upsampling etc.... anyway good sounding release to my ears.

Hi Fab
Thanks ...for MPD I use the app Mpad , for squeezebox clients , it's squeezepad (which is in the 2nd pic) or ipeng 7

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if the 2nd picture app was compatible with MPD...Hi Fab

Havn't been following this thread.
Quick question:
Is there a RUNE image for the Cubietruck?
If not. Any plans to build one?
Thx a lot.
