Low Noise opamps for 2014?

I'm making some audio opamp circuits, some LPF (for subwoofers), some summing amp circuit, etc.

Usually I go for TL072 and NE5532, but I was wondering, what opamps do you use nowadays?

I'm looking for low noise, decent slew rate, and not exaggerated bandwidth. And most important of all: sane price. No $25 opamps for a silly audio filter!

LM4562NA it is also similar I think 🙂
try the LM4562HA too that somebody says it is superb...
with high performance opamp the PSU & decoupling caps should be wise too.

I read again post #1, but for "only" low frequency/LPF NE5532, LM833 or other bipolar type input maybe sound not so different...

You can try it by yourself, you can have fun to try bipolar type opamp & compare it to jfet type for your LPF... lets start with NE5532 vs TL072 😀

some expensive opamp need better PSU too, to sound at it best

that's cheating! we said no $25 opamps. that one is $25! 😛

Ah, sorry - did not actually notice that condition right away 🙂
Yeah, that's the only downside of this opamp ((

In my case, on one hand, it's a silly audio filter, cutting some ultra-low frequencies, on the other hand, it passes everything else. In 7 channels. It has to pass it perfectly 😉

Wow didn't know opamps get that expensive.
In my country OPA627BP cost 76.32 USDollars each if you include VAT tax.

Lol now I guess I'll never know how they sound in a preamp 🙂

I purchased them for $30 each. 3 pieces per channel x 7 channels = 21 piece.
I know, I'm crazy 😀 But I'm a skydiver anyway, so... no surprise 😛

Here is the link to my design:
Bloody expensive 7-channel Subsonic filter

5-th order Chebyshev
