Super Chip Preamp v1.2 it`s opamp based preamp (line amplifier) and it`s a best opamp I`ve heard. I don`t like opamps and global feedback but this one surprised me!
Before this chip implementation I`ve been listening to dc coupled cascoded B1 type jfet single ended buffer (beter sounding than standard Pass B1 buffer) and LT1363 sounds lot better (with the same power supply chassis etc.) Wider soundstage, more precise bass and mids and highs are not unfocused as in B1, they`re clear but not sharp. Easy to listen all day long 🙂
Chip otput is biased into class A with jfet CCS J1 (2SK246GR) with 5mA CCS current. (Tried without CCS but sounds better with opamp ops biased into class A). Gain it`s about 6dB (I don`t need more).
Power supply it`s a simple shunt.
LT1363 it`s a VFB opamp with CFB structure and you could see the internal schematic int the datasheet. Interesting thing it`s that OLG is about 20KHz, lot more then other standard opamps.

I`ve found this chip sounds a lot better then modern fancy 0.0000001 THD audio opamps.

Which 'fancy opamps' do you compare ?
This is an 'H' bridge input opamp - I am not surprised that the slew and bandwidth are very high/wide.
However, I do wish manufactures would look at the noise spectral density. This opamp has a 1/f corner not much below 1 kHz.
It needs to be substantially below 100 Hz.
LT take note! While we are at it, ADI as well!

Datasheet says 60nV/sqrHz ad 10Hz that`s not a problem with line amplifier. It sound`s great , that counts 🙂

Hello
Did you try it with OPA627 opamp ?
I have many of OPA627, I've buy them 15 years ago wen they was more affordable.
Thank
Bye

The LT1363 is a video opamp basically, with low gain (but good linearity so that closed-loop THD isn't that bad at audio frequencies). The noise specs aren't the best, the distortion figures aren't the best, the offset voltage isn't the best, etc etc - this is a high bandwidth opamp first and foremost - if you don't need the bandwidth you're wasting money on an unnecessary feature and could be spending it on lower distortion or lower noise or lower bias currents (or just using a cheaper better audio opamp!) Having said that its going to be indistinguishable from any good opamp in blind listening if its not overloaded or oscillating.
Your beliefs about what sounds better are only beliefs until you can reliably distinguish in a double blind test, and I for one require that minimum standard of proof.

Hello
How about LM6172 ?
It seem very similar to LT1363, but it need an adequate bypass since it's a very high slew-rate.
Thank
Bye
