First One - mosFET amplifier module

In the case of GB, my idea is, to send to LC (after the test), a pack of 20pcs DPS-500-DA at time

UPS fast package, LC have in 1 or two days. I not see a problem.

If all goes well (the DPS-500 is under test with 350mA of bias). then I can have the track number for tomorrow.

I translated in 5 languages to test if correct.

My education (maybe wrong), put me to explain the reason, why I have not sent. 🙂

a pleasure 😎 for my hears.

Regards

L.C. You receive The samples on Tuesday.

Italian job 😀

Tuesday's gone with the wind :sing:

Hi Roberto :wave2:

It was just one of my funny hours hehe, apologize for impatience, guess I realy badly wants to try DPS-500. 😉

Many thanks for supporting this thread.

No problem Andrej, everyone reacts differently. I understand your expectation, perhaps by this test, some choices future depend. (independant of GB).
I sent you the full version with AL frame, so it's ready .... I'm sure your first test, it is immediate listening in stereo .. hehe!
After, doing the measurements, and .. you know that first I look, it's right fft and burst, as well SIN 60Hz, right we see, the reaction of voltage.
Some smps regulated, have difficulty or strange behavior if 60Hz are continuous on 4R.

Ciao!

Roberto

Will it be 35? 55? Parameters change regarding temp are within expected limits.
Not really important, but, if it was me, i would have chosen a temp somewhere between those limits. from 20 to 80 (i don't like an amp to go higher because of the lytics), the middle is 50°.
In my manufacture (long long time ago) we used to set first the quiescent current at the room temp, then heat all the amps with signal and a charge for half an hour (a way to eliminate the first failures) , then tune again the quiescent at this temp. I guess it was around this hot witch is the temp i prefer for my amps.
Of course, as those are kits, and you cannot know both the rails voltages and radiator your customers will use, you are in a more complicated situation.
And, as you says, it is not so critical, and lot of us will tune the quiescent of their amps the way they prefer. 🙂

No problem but, LC play in correct way I see.with the protocols of calibration, I believe, will have already done the obvious control of the parameters in the range 25 ° to 75 °.
Hobbyists have another method, adjust and see, see and modify, re-adjust. impossible to implement this in production line.

..........Infact ... I not understand well this all the noise ... I can only offer 24pcs DPS-500-DA FO.
Then..a lot of space for competitors.. 😀
Fine and fair seen from here (all competitors gets a piece of cake). Lets see what setups LC choose for recommendations. You win AP2 if he choose listening test by Dire Strait's "Six Blade Knife" music cut, course here PSU is tuned special by hard work on that one 🙂. Fine enough you have a border of 24pcs so you can have a life too and not only mountains of job.

PS: LC that production line/testing/calibrating/quality control center you uploaded in post #455, is really serious impressing, you're good at that point too.

In a production line, those have been done earlier, in the R&D office.

I'm very impressed and full of admiration by the way L.C. works, transforming a hobby in a very achieved and serious industrial process.
Designing with a lot of intuitions, knowledge and experience, trying a lot of various schematic combinations without any lose of time, listening with taste and accuracy, with the perfect balance between objective and subjective positions, with a wonderful balance between search for performance and 'keep-it simple', designing printed boards with a perfect sens of all the evils and aesthetic, making all the researches by himself for suppliers (and it is not an easy part), and building a total industrial fabrication process from scratch.

I can't believe a single man is able to do all this by himself, all alone, with such a talent, taste, endless quest of beauty and...courage.
Well, i believe he will change his life very soon, leading a great electronic hifi company, and i believe his products will be among the most regarded of the market.
Oh, and i forget the most important: He is a very generous person, full of love and care for others. I'm old, never met in my life all those qualities in a single man.

Hi,
Of course you're clever to "see" these qualities, some do not even see.
In opposite to you, in my life I have met so many amazing people in different areas and I always thought these "exceptions".
My last working group, it was amazing along with researchers such as mixing of various sciences. The feeling is very powerful, almost magical to see a simple object from many angles, and some new. As you say, it is not easy to organize a production (especially in a serious way, with different protocols to be observed, from the selection and purchase of components, the management of other companies that work for you, etc. .. etc..
I admire LC in global way. has a good strength of soul.

After this beautiful speech, ...landed on Earth ... always meet a dog. The dog not understand..that you understand. 😛

Cristi, your second SMPS2000R is just WOOOW, driving both channels. This is the one packed with Rubycons on primary and secondary side, set to +/-63 V, no hum, dead quiet silence, rock stable imaging, resolution is at the top notch, no sign of sibilants on vocals, liquid like sound, bass is simply awsome, like a day and night different from first one tried, also much better than SMPS1200. :worship:
