I have just had to go out and buy a new screen for my mac, so regret that I will have to withdraw from this round. This bugs me as much as you can imagine and I apologise for this, but pensions only stretch so far.

For another project I need to build preamp, and so I am doing a lot of reading, the DCB1 is the favorite so far. My question whil this match "The First One"? Or should I stay with "just" a good pot/attenuator?

I can't wait on the result from those who are going to build with this module. In the meanwhile I will be looking for the funding...

The VSSA works perfectly with the tortuga passive pramp. It should be OK with the first one.

Yes, exactly, First One amplifiers must be precisely calibrated and tested for GB members benefit. And there's more, coolant liquid temperature stable heatsink platform, so all modules will be calibrated at the same temperature conditions, no setup variations between the series.

not clear yet what is the bias current and therefore the heat dissipated , in order to slightly adjust the box and the heatsink to everyone taste or local weather conditions 🙄
