What tweeter you will use? ... so I can help you to calculate the crossover

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.


The aura would have to crossed approximately 2Khz and impedance at that point is around 15ohms keep that in mind when calculating the crossover.

Since he's building the MINI (dev version) I'm guessing he'll be using the tweeter I recommended and the filter I designed for that 😉

okay.. im going to order the parts from intertechnik.de since they have the dayton tweeters awell... well they dont, but they seem to be on their way to the store..


for the crossover/filter parts could anyone please verify that these are indeed the parts i need? what im going for is the picture in #26

Thinking of ordering from europe audio instead of intertechnik since
a) intertechnik wont get the tweeters the next 2 months
b) their shipping price for 4 caps and 4 coils is 15€

I sincerely doubt Europe-Audio has them in stock either. Even if they say they do. Please inquire by mail

Accusafe.nl bought all remaining stock in the world (until a new production run from the factory is done in about a month or 2). They might have some but I'm not sure.

Luckily, the development version of the MINI you're building isn't too fiddly with tweeter choice. You can probably use the ND20FA if you aren't dead-set on getting the right tweeters. I'd not recommend the same for the finalized version of the MINI though.

Okay they just stated on their website that they would order them from the manufacturer directly and have them within 1-2 weeks. but i have now emailed them and will see what they answer!

otherwise i will just buy them from accusafe as it is cheeper to buy the nd16fa from them and pay the ekstra shipping than it is to buy the nd20fa.. so i might aswell just buy the right ones..

is the finalised mini going to be much different from the one many have already built?
