F5 - R1 Trim Distortion - Worthwhile vs Blow up ?

Hello,

Not sure if I go for R1 version, as I see many have blown up some parts using the P3 Trimmer.

I have a sound card, M-Audio AP192K so it's pretty good.

I searched but can't find the optimal software to use for measurement....

Is it worth the risk?????

I haven't run across a case where R3 could blow up the amplifier. Of course
you want to check the bias values and offset every time you play with any
of the pots.
